“Cosy, cute and in the perfect location - a Cornwall delight!”
Reviewed 29 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Where shall I start?
We arrived after a drive down the motorway and by 3:00 we were on the doorstep of a modern house that looked very nice. As we went inside, it was very sweet and the style of the house was much to our taste; it was extremely clean and neat and cosy - we were very impressed. The children were sleeping downstairs in the twin which they enjoyed since they got there own space, and could do their own thing. The views from the lounge were exquisite and the garden was spacious and had a picnic table and a washing line. We met the owners who were lovely, happy to help and very welcoming; above all else, they made us feel like we were at home. There were several walks down to the village of Polperro. Since the house was on a cliff, you would need to take a scenic coastal path ( turn right from the house )about half an hour long down to the village or a steep road ( turn left from the house ) which was only 15 minutes. In the village of Polperro there are fudge and sweet shops, handmade gifts and clothes shops not to mention ice cream parlours and pubs and restaurants. We highly recommend the Three Pilchards, a pub, where the owners son works, which served lovely food. Also, Looe is only a 5/ 10 minute drive away! Overall, this house is lovely, the views are stunning, the location is perfect - Thanks!

“The perfect home base for a vacation in Cornwall”
Reviewed 8 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Penlowen is a fabulous place to stay at in Cornwall. The SW Coast Path is almost on the doorstep and the best way to get to the fishing village of Polperro with its shops, restaurants and an idyllic harbour. In the other direction, one can reach the beautiful beach of Talland Bay within 10 minutes. Walk to Looe in just under 90 minutes and enjoy the spectacular view from the cliffs.

Located conveniently close (but not too close) to the A387, Penlowen is a great starting point for excursions all over Cornwall. Don't want to go everywhere by car? Drive to Liskeard and take the train from there to Penzance, Falmouth or any other tourist destination. For transport to local destinations, the bus stop is nearby.

The best thing about Penlowen is the house itself: We found a perfectly maintained, superbly equipped holiday home. Decorated unobtrusively with great taste, Penlowen is a place where you really want to spend time: Let the children play in the garden, relax by the fireplace or use the fast and reliable Wifi. If you need anything, Sue and Colin are very helpful, caring and friendly hosts.

“Glorious sea views!”
Reviewed 22 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This is such a lovely place to stay, and the views are amazing from the sitting room.

The walk down to Polperro is only about 10 minutes, and its a lovely walk we really enjoyed doing. It's such a pretty lane with cottages along it and glorious views down to the harbour. The walk back up was not as daunting as we thought, it's steep but totally manageable.

The kitchen is really well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.

We will definitely stay here again.

“Very cosy house with gorgeous view”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Penlowen house is tucked in a quite neighourhood with spectacular sea view. The kids loved playing in the garden and watching the little rabbits.
The house is very close to the beach and to town. Very close to a scenic coastal root. Bare in mind good walking shoes will be needed.
The house is very well equipped, clean and cosy. Perfect for a romantic holiday as well as family.
Susan (the host) was great with communication, super friendly and very helpful. She gave us tips on things to do and restaurants to check. Thanks Susan.
Will definitely go again.

A great welcome. The property is very comfortable, modern and and pristine. Quiet location with space to park. Sea views from the main living area and the large garden. Short walk to Polperro village centre and harbour down lanes and though woods. Waking distance to Talland Bay. We had a very enjoyable week.
