The hotel is in an absolutely great place to explore Polperro, and to have its own car park was just wonderful. The two members of staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The room was ok, a bit on the small side, but certainly adequate. Tea and coffee facilities provided including some milk in the small fridge.
What we hadn't realised when booking was the hotel's attitude towards dogs, with dog friendly rooms etc. Not sure if our room was in this category. We weren't very happy to be sitting in the small breakfast room with dogs.

Thank you for your positive comments. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall.
Our Hotel, like many in the South West, is openly dog friendly. This is clearly displayed on all booking platforms, including Tripadvisor.
We have many guests stay without dogs and they comment on how clean, fresh, and spotless the guest rooms and communal areas are.

We had a lovely stay at the Claremont Hotel,
It’s ideally placed an as a bonus has its own private carpark,
Everyone connected with the hotel are really friendly an will take time to chat,
The room we had was lovely an cosy an we had an outside space as well,
The breakfast was excellent even though my wife an I are pretty much the usual eggs bacon etc, there was other foods available,
Polperro is a lovely fishing village an there’s a good few places for a drink an good food,
Would love to return

Room tip: Main thing I would advise, if staying at the Claremont be patient driving to it there will be lots of people walking about

Nothing to dislike. Super location, handy free car park, welcoming staff, lovely clean well-appointed room, great fresh breakfast choice produced to order, very dog friendly but require good behaviour understandably with list of rules. Close to the harbour and evening eating options but get there early in busy periods as booking is limited.
