“Pick your moment”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2013

We only ate here once. The owner or manager was sweeping up outside and just kept going throughout our meal. The food was ok, tasty enough, but you could make any of it yourself with a trip to the supermarket. the sweeping generated dust which of course didnt make for a fantastic atmosphere. Certainly not the worst place to eat in Polperro, but I guess you have to pick your moment to eat around their chores, not the other way round as you'd assume.

“We sat outside, enjoying sunshine, drinks and lovely food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2013

Loved the garden and surroundings. Very picturesque and relaxing. The service was first class as was the food, and although we only chose sandwiches, as a lunch time snack, they were lovely! Cold drinks and sunshine...perfect in Polperro.

“Perfect for what it is”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

Food was nice and generous portion sizes. Not much imagination with the presentation of the food but still great value and what a lovely setting in the heart of the village next to the stream. A bit dark inside, but perfect if you can sit outside. The owners seemed so friendly even though it was the end of a super hot bank holiday, they were still smiling

“Lovely Evening in lovely gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

What appealed about this place was the lovely garden sitting alongside the brook that runs to the harbour and my son reading the advert outside for the deep fried sea gull (free of charge). We had a lovely meal sitting outside in a lovely well maintained garden, the food was lovely and plenty of it and the service was friendly. Inside was lovely with a homely feel to it with chutneys and jams for sale and lots of cakes (the children took forever to choose pudding). The only problem I could see was if you were disabled the toilets were downstairs. Well recommended
