The location is absolutely lovely. The staff here are good - very young but lovely personalities . however the menu was so limited. This was so very disappointing. The fish of the day was not available. The burgers ( both fish and veggie) were awful, the chips cold. This really spoilt our evening. The sunset was blinding us through the window - lovely when it set.
I would never recommend this place for a meal.

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Longcross for 2 nights and attend a wedding there. Everything, from start to finish, was great. We stayed in Room 4 which has a lovely comfy four poster bed and had a wonderful meal in the conservatory restaurant on the Friday evening (fab views). I understand that the menu changes daily but, if you get the chance, have the Mozzarella and sun dried tomato risotto cake with mustard sauce - yummy. Our party also had local Lobster which was delicious too. The wedding day weather was frightful but that didn't detract from a really lovely day in every way. The staff at the Longcross really are a credit to the hotel. All of them were polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the wedding meal was amazing - how the Chefs can serve 100 guests all at once with such lovely food is beyond me. All in all a lovely place which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for our 1st weekend away together. And it couldn't have been more perfect!

The hotel staff were fantastic and the food was brilliant. Our room was clean and fresh and had a fab view...with a telescope! And the biggest bed I have ever seen.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, even offering to pick us up from the pub in the evening.

Will be back, thats for sure.

Room Tip: Ask for a view, you won't be disappointed.

We recently had our whole wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Longcross Hotel and it was brilliant! The staff were fabulous and very helpful in every-way leading up to the day and on the day. They were very accommodating to our extra guests (who weren't staying at the hotel) for Friday night's dinner. All of our guests (a good handful of which came from overseas) were very happy with their rooms and the food on the wedding day, and said the breakfast was delicious! Zoe was wonderful and very organised, even when we had a small hiccup with our music on the wedding day! Jane was incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding, helping us to organise everything to make sure it was perfect. And of course the views are amazing! so make a beautiful back drop for photos.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1 - deemed as the best by the staff! Nice wedding couple room! But room 2 and 4 ar...

We received a warm welcome upon our arrival & were very pleased with our room! Spacious with a four poster bed & bath in ensuite! Staff very helpful & friendly, food was good for dinner but just ok for breakfast. Ambience good, felt like a home away from home!

We have eaten here on several occasions over the years and always had great meals and recommended the resturant to friends. I think they have got a new chef and now the menu is very uninspiring, not much choice and what there is sounds better than what is served. The prices have come down from last year but so has the quality. Yes the views are fantastic and the staff are friendly but we won't be rushing back.

A secluded, family-run hotel in a large, older Cornish house, with good access to North Conish coast and local ports, close to Polzeath and Port Isaac. Large, comfortable room (No. 2), slightly old-fashioned in style, but with everything for a pleasant stay. Large dining room - suitable for wedding parties - with panoramic views out over the sea (about a mile away) and a friendly breakfast room separate. The bar and pool room looked fine, but we were mostly out exploring.

What made the visit a class above many hotels was the relaxed atmoshere, with everyone, including the owners, restaurant, bar and breakfast staff going out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Always professional and time to chat if you wanted to; very personable and welcoming at a level which made you feel you mattered.

We were two of few residents after they had had a very busy Easter weekend (I would think wedding parties and the 'Doc Martin' link at Port Isaac help to keep Longcross busy out of the main season), and I hope the staff manage to keep up the same high level of charm and performance when the place is full.

We didn't get to look around the gardens, partly because the recent heavy rains had made everything pretty wet and partly because we had a heavy exploring schedule to fit into two days.

We had two main meals in the restaurant (steaks were excellent) and two breakfasts (the full Cornish is recommended).
