We had a lovely weekend here. The rooms are fine - comfy beds and all the usual amenities. The decor is funky rather than luxury and could do with a bit of touching up, be we had no complaints.

The breakfast in particular was delicious and we dined here one night and could not fault the food.

Great location - not too noisy.

Returned yesterday from 2 nights at The Queens. Staff very friendly and helpful, situation of hotel right in the centre of St. Ives. We stayed in room 6 which is very small. It is on the third floor so be prepared for a lot of stairs! The room was clean but cramped. Little street noise or noise from bar --- breakfast good with food choice of food. Parking is in a nearby long stay car park - in the summer, it could prove tricky to find a place which would be a pain. All in all the size of the room and the 3 flights of stairs were the major 'negatives' to our stay. However, the price per night was significantly lower than other hotels in the centre of this lovely seaside town. So------------- as ever 'you pays your money, you takes your choice'!!!!

Room Tip: You might prefer not to be on the third floor from the point of view of the amount of stairs, howeve...

We stayed for two nights for a short break in beautiful St Ives. The hotel is in a good position close to the shops and not far from the beach. Our room was clean and bright, had a comfortable bed and was nicely decorated. My only criticism was that the shower was only slightly warm. The cooked breakfast was excellent and really set us up for the day. We had dinner in the pub on one night and the food was good and the bar had a really good atmosphere on the Friday evening, when there was live music.

- Well appointed room, comfortable queen bed with duvet, plenty of hot water – large double shower with plenty of hot water and fitted with heated towel rack. Great nights sleep, with limited street noise expected in a small town with narrow streets with the added advantage of hearing the cry of the sea birds – we still slept with the window open.
- Coffee/tea service avail in room
- Our room at the on the second floor was Number 10, Wi-Fi avail and at good strength, as well as being avail in the pub. ☺
- Did not dine at hotel however they did have a good trade going the evenings we stopped in for a pint before bread….the hot breakfast was good although light continental was weak with limited dry cereals and juice.
- Centrally located within steps from centre town beach and 10 minute stroll from rail station
- Stayed two nights in advance of walking the coastal path – came in by rail and was easy to locate, staff was friendly, polite and helpful – and there was always plenty of Cornish Ale on tap and wine on hand.

Just spent 2 nights at the Queens hotel - and what a little gem it is! Sat in the very centre of St Ives the hotel has a lot of character, small but very comfortable rooms, excellent beer and Gin, and relaxed but attentive staff. If you like independent, small hotels, rather than the overpriced, upmarket hotels St Ives seems to offer then this place is ideal. It is just a short walk from all the beaches, and very close to the wonderful array of arty exhibitions, restaurants, and the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth garden. The only downside is that you have to park 400m away, and if, like us, your room is on the floor, it is a bit of a climb after lots of local food and ale.

We booked our two night stay months ago from USA thru Expedia after reading reviews here - some good some bad. We received a friendly welcome from Lee, hotel clerk- barman- bellboy! We were given room 10, 1st floor up at the front, right above the front door. As we chose to leave windows open, it can be quite noisy with people speaking loudly passing by, etc. however we turned on a table fan provided which drowned most noise out. Room small but adequate. Tea & coffee making set up, nice flat screen tv, bathroom not large but sparkling & shower nice & large. Breakfast 8:30 cooked to order plus juices, fruits, coffee, tea, fresh yogurt and served with smiles. We arrived late Sunday so only Sunday roasts for dinner but both beef & pork delicious with roast potatoes, turnips, cabbage, carrots, yam & cauliflower cheese plus freshly made horseradish cream and applesauce & Yorkshire pudding. Last night, Monday, hubby had fish n chips (he said best in UK so far on our trip) & I had their Wild Mushroom Saffron Risotto. It was fabulous. Also they had a folk duo which started at 9:00pm so we feared we'd never sleep but couldn't hear them upstairs later when we retired. No, this is not a fancy place but we enjoyed it all

We were greeted by Lee, the bell boy, manager, bartender etc. Very help full and nice man. All the staff was help full and courteous. This is a full on pub with about 8 rooms. Rooms are small but clean and good use of space. The food in the pub was very good especially the Sunday roast. Breakfast is a full breakfast. Five minute walk from train station and two blocks from water. If you are looking for great value this is the place for you
