Really lovely place to stay very clean room tho a little small and very warm we needed the window open at night and being above the road (room 2) we then could hear people returning from the pubs very loudly. Breakfast was excellent and service was friendly.

We arrived 5 days ago, tired and hungry and looking a bit lost after a long bus journey. The pub was warm and cozy as it was starting to rain outside. The staff settled us in and presented us with a lovely meal without any fuss. Can't speak highly enough of this place it has been so relaxing and comfortable staying here. Lee and Kelly looked after us so well. Bed was comfortable, room quiet on the third floor and the shower compact but pleasant. A great base for exploring St. Ives. We would love to return. Food was very tasty. Nice porridge for breakfast and they soon found me some marmite!

Stayed for one night in this delightful pub/hotel. Lovely, refurbished rooms, warm and snuggly bar, good lunch, great breakfast AND a free gym workout up the 49 steps to the room!

Lunch when we arrived, in the bar was yummy, burger and chips and the tiger prawn risotto enjoyed by both of us.

Breakfast the next morning was, as we had read, very good. Freshly prepared fruit salad, full Cornish, a warm croissant and copious tea set us up for the day.

Room Tip: Probably opt for a rear facing room, as you can hear the street and passing revellers at the front

You would walk past this high street hotel in St Ives don't !

The rooms are really comfortable and although we were right on the High Street the glazing is well and truly sorted out. It was so quiet. Breakfast is first class with home made marmalade!

Lots of places to eat in St Ives but this has to be one of them! Chef Matt Berry is bound for greater
places but be glad he stays at the Queens! His deep fried Shepherd's Pie is just part of one of the best lamb mains I've had anywhere and better than some of the rich and famous chefs produce!

Great staff although one waitress needs to do more than watch the rest work!
Only downside is the car park is a walk round the bay to the station. Not a problem though.
Highly recommended see the website.

2 Couples of over 70's stayed one night at this old hotel in the High street. 3 flights of stairs to climb to get to our rooms. Our friends were on the front of the hotel and had lots of noise up to 2.30 in the morning, both rooms had extra beds for families (which we were not) Staff were cheerful but breakfast in the main bar was not the most salubrious setting.

Room Tip: Back of the hotel if you want to sleep

Wasn't sure if this place was a hotel, a pub or somewhere inbetween. I think the latter suits it best. Superb room. Right at the top and back of the building. Just about see the sea! Bright and airy. Quiet and comfortable. Good controlable shower.

There was a gull nesting just below the seaward window. He/She didn't seem at all fazed by our presence. When I opened the bathroom window I saw another gull nesting behind a chimney a couple of feet away. Again, not bothered at all. I liked that bit!

Very good cooked breakfast in the bar area. Not sure I'd go here for a beer if I was "out and about" but as a hotel I think it works well. The staff where very pleasant and friendly. I would definately return.

This was our second visit to the queens hotel and we were not disappointed. As we have young children we are always looking for somewhere family friendly to eat with a relaxed atmosphere, the queens hotel not only delivered this but also gave us a fantastic meal. We were made to feel welcome the minute we stepped inside but at the same time the staff were not over bearing. Previous reviewers have stated that the lunch menu is limited, yes it does only consist of about ten dishes but one look and taste of the food served Will tell you that this place is all about quality not quantity. The food is fresh and local. There is also a nice range of Ales and ciders at the bar. As previously mentioned this was our second time at the queens hotel and we would definitely return.
