We were worried because The Badger, one of our favourite pub restaurants in Cornwall, had changed hands this year. We needn't have been - already there are welcome improvements to the conservatory dinning furniture, but BEST OF ALL the carvery is still excellent. In fact even better than before with meat cooked to perfection [beef and pork this time] and with a huge choice of extremely well cooked vegetables. The only downside was the pudding - apple & blackberry crumble - excellent fruit but sprinkled oats topping rather than a proper flour crumble.

There was live musical entertainment on the evening we called too.

So all in all just great and the best has got better.

Booked in for sunday lunch and offered 12 or 2pm so went for 2pm,food had obviously been around since the 12md people and was dry and over cooked, interesting that the owner was not in as it was his birthday. My partner would have liked a pudding but that or coffee was not offered as the waiting staff were having their lunch. I orded a glass of wine from the bar and asked if it was french, the bar maid said she did not know and when i said look at the lable seemed suprised to find info there.A stives local

We were recommended by our host to come for Sunday lunch, and were lucky that we set off early! After a beautiful and blustery walk from Carbis Bay to Levant we arrived just in time to reserve the last available table for lunch. Our two hour wait was rewarded by a huge selection of carvery meats and vegetables. The only disappointment was not having enough room for the puddings! The staff were more than happy to put a cheese board on a paper plate so that I could take it away. Local beers served, and I enjoyed the selection of red wine. This is a local pub, and the draw is good food in comfortable surroundings, not a restaurant.
