We decided on a last minute carvery for Sunday lunch. On entering the pub we waited to check if the Carvery was still available, as it was 14.35. The waitress said 'just about', and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We found a table then waited 5 minutes before a drinks order was taken. We ordered Carvery. Considering we had not been before no one said if we should wait or go up for food...? We had to ask. After ten minutes we were invited to go up to get our food. It was ok. Veg was over cooked and the yorkshire puddings were burnt. We found the staff to be unhelpful, poor service. We won't be returning.

Stayed here in June 2014, visited this fabulous pub many times during our stay in St Ives.

The staff were very friendly and delivered very good, high quality service. We spoke to the owner who had moved from Croydon, who is a very nice man who runs this pub to a very high standard. Much respect to him and the staff who are proud of their pub and deliver some if the best meals we've ever had. Great job!

For the past three years we have visited St Ives and have been to The Badger twice each time. A solid selection of pub grub, all very tasty and ample portions. The daily specials board provides extra variety, with slightly more adventurous offerings. My daughter and granddaughter swear by the Eton Mess for dessert!

We recently tried the badger for lunch, after not eating here for 2 years due to a bad experience. Our lunch was lovely so decided to go for my boyfriends birthday meal.

There was 9 of us all together, we received good service however a check back would have been nice. The meal though was excellent, full of flavour and generous portions! Definitely will be returning!

Does not look much from the front - however the beer garden at the back of the property is so pretty. Had lunch here - no complaints the Prawn Starter was delicious the bread is from a local Bakery and is so nice. Carvery was not on on the day we visited but there was the option for a roast, did not have this myself - it looked nice and I was told it was lovely. The gravy looked lumpy but other than that ..... Staff were lovely, no check back until the end of the meal but for the price not bad at all.
