Hi Maggie & Bart,

Thank you so much for your lovely review. As always it was great to see you both and I'm glad the weather picked up for your last few days so you could enjoy some time on the beach.

We hope to see you both again very soon (Maggie, I trust you will work your magic on Bart and we'll see you later in the year - perhaps with Mabel as well!).

Take care and good luck with the house hunting.

Kind Regards,

Kelly, Abi & Peter

Our fifth stay at Sail Lofts - but first time in apartment Zennor (very spacious and comfortable).
Many now seem to be trying to copy the Sail Lofts concept, but this original is still the best in St Ives and indeed the whole of West Cornwall - and we go there a lot! The apartments remain timeless and luxurious, but I noticed changes / updating of furnishings so that nothing is tired or worn. The team constantly seek to innovate with new products and little extras, like the Exclusive Card or welcome packs. Above all it's the effortless friendliness of service that is both congruent with laid back St Ives and the luxury offering that makes Sail Lofts worth every penny paid. Oh, and the sleep quality is simply superb.

Room Tip: Zennor was great but perhaps extravagant for a couple, but great space to entertain. Bedrooms and l...

From what I could see, all the apartments have dual (or more) aspect as well as skylights in lofty double-height top floor living rooms so are flooded with amazing ever-changing St Ives light. We stayed in Ocean which also has a sea view down the slipway and a spacious living room and kitchen. Bedrooms were less spacious but still cosy. I am a fussy customer but even I enjoyed using the kitchen and was impressed with the quality of the bed linen, beds and soft furnishings. It wasn't all 100% perfect, mainly in the bedrooms - some of the bedroom furniture was a bit cheap-feeling; the master double bed is two singles pushed together and the mattresses were about an inch different in height; the bedroom windows only have venetian blinds which do little to block the light (difficult if you have children or are a light sleeper); it was a shame there was nowhere to sit and look at the sea views - you had to stand. However these are tiny niggles and more than made up for by the solid quality feeling of the conversion, the spotless cleanliness, spaciousness and general loveliness. The location is also amazing - 20 seconds to Porthmeor beach, 1 minute to Porthgwiddan, 5 minutes to the harbour.

Customer service is exceptional. You feel genuinely welcomed, as if the accommodation is for you to use and enjoy. There are no cross little signs telling you what to do/not do. Staff in the office seem to enjoy their jobs and to enjoy meeting their guests. I needed something very specific on a Sunday when the on-site office was closed. I left a message on the harbourside office answerphone and 5 minutes later Peter turned up with exactly what I needed.

I hope to go back one day but will need to start saving now! Quality like this comes at a price. I got a very good deal but I'm not sure I could (or would want to) pay full whack.

The accommodation is wonderful and equally so are the team who look after and run Sail Lofts. I would recommend Sail Lofts wholeheartedly and give it a full five stars for all aspects.

We were lucky enough to stay in two appartments and both were furnished to high standards and the finishing touches such as luxury bathroom goods and the welcome basket and tate voucher etc etc, go above and beyond.

The Sail Lofts are perfectly placed in St Ives, away from the main thoroughfare of traffic but still less than a minute from the beach, two minutes from another beach and three minutes from town.

A superb holiday on all counts.

Room Tip: Zennor is wonderful and Surf is delightfully cozy.

We stayed in Driftwood at the Sail Lofts, it was much bigger than I though it would be and was wonderfully light and airy with Velux windows in the ceiling through which you could see the gorgeous blue skies and watch the seagulls soaring overhead. The welcome basket with scones, butter, jam, bread, clotted cream, milk and tea and coffee was hugely appreciated after our 4 hour drive!

The WiFi in the apartment was brilliant, we were expecting the usual sub-standard connection you get in hotels but the speeds we were getting during the week were sometimes better than we get at home; we had no problems watching Netflix.

The apartment was very conveniently located, it was about 5 minutes walk to the harbour front and less than that to the main shopping streets. It was a bit too cold in March to go in the sea but the beaches were beautifully clean and the sea was so blue and inviting! There were two beach towels left for us in a basket in the entrance hall of the apartment which I haven't come across before but is such a good idea as I usually forget to bring beach towels and end up buying them on holiday and throwing them away afterwards. My Boyfriend and I had a seriously relaxing holiday and we are definitely going to be back!

Our stay at the Sail Lofts was absolutely fautless. The accommodation was immaculately clean, spacious and furnished in a warm and welcoming way.

Upon arriving (after a long car journey) we opened the door to be welcomed by a basket of goodies which was a delighful touch. In addition, the accommodation includes other nice added extras such as beach towels, Apple TV etc.

The Sail Lofts instantly makes you feel relaxed and ensures you have a enjoyable holiday.

Having stayed at the Sail Lofts we would never stay anywhere else in St Ives. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Our fourth winter visit in a row to The Sail Lofts, our third stay in Godrevy and we enjoyed our week as much as on the previous three occasions.
The apartments are beautifully furnished and decorated. Godrevy has a fantastic large living/eating/cooking space on the second floor, full of light and a glimpses of both Porthmeor Beach and the Coastguard Station on the Island.
Godrevy's master bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed, cosy duvet and its own TV. The adjacent second bedroom is slightly smaller but has views out to the Island while both are tastefully decorated.
Godrevy is well equipped with large TV, iPod dock, remote control Velux blinds as well as dishwasher and washing machine (though feeling slightly jealous with the mention of Apple TV and a Nespresso machine in other apartments - though we did bring our own Nespresso machine!)
Perhaps the only possible negative for Godrevy is the steep flight of stairs from the front door straight up to the first floor, which could make carrying heavy luggage a little challenging - however we knew about this from our previous visits so is not a complaint.
There is friendly helpful service from both the on-site office and the new Sail Lofts 'shop' on Fish Street and of course the Welcome Hamper is packed with delicious local produce.
There is complimentary parking at the other end of Porthmeor Beach, about 10-15 minutes walk away though you can park in the Island Car Park a minute away for £2 per day. (There seemed to be plenty spaces in the winter though I suspect that is not the case later in the year.)
The off-season rate for Godrevy and the other apartments are excellent value for both the quality of the accommodation and their location: one minute from Porthmeor and Porthgwidden Beaches, three minutes from the harbour and within just a few minutes of numerous restaurants, cafes, pubs, galleries, the other beaches etc
Can't wait until next time....
