We live in Italy and wanted our daughters to experience a true British "bucket and spade" holiday, in Cornwall. After much searching, we came across the Sail Lofts website and contacted them. From the word go, the Sail Lofts team were exceptiomal- friendly, courteous and could not do enough to help us. Our stay at Zennor far exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need, from kitchen utensils to towels, wet suits, buckets and spades! The location is perfect:30 seconds to the beach and 2 minutes to the evocative Sloop pub. We were extremely touched by the fact that not only did we have a cream tea to welcome us but that they had gone out of their way to cater for our 7 year old who has coeliac's disease and found her some delicious gluten free cake. Abi, Peter and all the people we met during our stay are absolutely wonderful and we were so terribly sorry to leave. We are already planning our stay next year.....

We have just spent a heavenly week at the Sail Lofts in St Ives. It was perfect in every way. We stayed in Harbour, which was the height of luxury, and accommodated the two of us very comfortably - plus our son, his wife and our six year old grandson! It is in a great position, just round the corner from Porthmeor Beach - and our own little property, Anchor Cottage, which is booked wall to wall till September. Needing a fix of St Ives to keep us going, we decided the Sail Lofts was the answer. And it certainly was! Masses of space, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly want. A lovely welcome pack awaited us on arrival and the friendly Sail Lofts team were always on hand. I would certainly give it ten out of ten! We'll be back!

This was our second visit to Sail Lofts and it just gets better. We stayed for one week in Curno and a second in Zennor as the weather was so good. The apartments are lovely, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The location just a few steps from the beach could not be better. Added to that the staff are superb and cannot do enough for you to make your stay perfect. St Ives has so much to offer and has a number of very good restaurants, as well as galleries, lovely walks and, of course, the beautiful beaches. We are already planning our return visit next year, if not before. The only hard part was coming home!

It's not often we return to the same place but Sailofts has changed all that!
Outstanding accommodation with everything you could wish for.

We have stayed in ''Slip Way' three times now and it now feels like home from home.
Maybe a bit extravagent for two but worth the money and the freedom to move about.

Better than a hotel as you have the whole accommodation to yourselves.

Staff always have a warm welcome and simply, nothing is too much trouble.

Also good to see that everything is kept up to date and items replaced or improved from year to year

A great place to stay

Room Tip: Slip Way is the top property with a great sitting room with sea views

Location perfect. It is like a home from home with everything that you could possibly need. High quality finish, furniture, towels, bedding etc. We did not want to come home and will certainly stay there again. Loved every minute and could not fault anything !

Another stay at Curno and another perfect holiday! The Sail Lofts have really nailed it, doesn’t matter which apartment you pick you are always in for a 5-star treat. The apartments are light, airy and spacious with a predominately white theme, wooden floors and tasteful décor. I could bang on about how lovely they are but you just need to take a look at the photos here or on their website to see what you get. These shots aren’t staged, they really are that good!

Let’s try and list the positives and negatives of staying at The Sail Lofts for an easy read.

Positives

• Five stars, and worth every point on every star – immaculate throughout and everything you need to move in permanently!
• Location - slap bang in the middle of town, five minute walking distance to the shops, beaches, cafés, restaurants, galleries. We’ve stayed for a week before now and only used the car to arrive and go home.
• Parking space. Sounds an odd thing to list but if you are in St Ives when it is busy you REALLY need your own space.
• St Ives - a stunning harbour town full of history and character, beautiful buildings, winding streets and walkways, sandy beaches in every direction, and art – lots of art.
• Restaurants. Outside London we haven’t found so many top quality restaurants in such a concentrated area.
• The people – the locals are proud of their town and proud or Cornwall, and rightly so. They are all lovely and help turn a good holiday into one you’ll never forget.
• The harbour itself – whether you want to sit on the beach or on the pier and watch the comings and goings of the various sailing craft or amble along the harbour front in and out of the shops, galleries and cafés this is a beautiful place to wind away the hours.
• The sandy beaches – Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, the harbour beach or Porthminster, all four within a short walk of each other and the Sail Lofts. In fact Porthmeor is so close you could get there with your eyes closed.
• Peter, Sam, Kelly & Abi – Whatever you need, they are always there for you and nothing seems to be too much trouble! Thanks guys for always looking after us!

Negatives
• There isn’t a Sail Lofts in every town!

We’ve stayed at the Sail Lofts many, many times and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else now. Says it all really.

This was our 5th stay at the Sail Lofts and the 3rd time in Driftwood. We can honestly say we won't be staying at any other accommodation in St Ives, this place is top class. You know when you see in the brochure when you book your holiday "100 yrds from the beach" and the truth is its probably half a mile away, well you go out the door at the Sail Lofts and probably one of the best beaches in Europe is 20 yards away....just awesome. All the sights and sounds of St Ives are just a short walk away.

Oh yes and the finishing touch, we had a small observation to make on the feedback form, which was more than likely down to us, well just 24 hrs after returning home Peter rang to have a chat about it. These people care.

We will be back in 2015
