“Relaxing retreat!”

What a super guesthouse! We spent three nights at Beachcroft as part of one week in Cornwall. The welcome, bedroom, facilities and breakfast were outstanding. Very helpful and informative host. Very modern bedroom and a special mention for the immaculate bathroom with a very high spec and extremly clean. Very nice outdoor sun terrace with nice views. Both breakfast room and food were to a very high standard. A great thanks for the flexibility arranging for special pregnancy dietary requirements.

My husband and I stayed there in April 2010 and we never got around writing a review...
So better late than never!

We absolutely loved staying at Beachcroft.
We usually prefer to stay at hotels but this B&B made us change our mind.
The hosts were lovely and the breakfast, the best I ever had.
Our room "Trevose" was spacious, luxurious and very comfy.

I truly recommend this boutique B&B.

We've just spent three nights at this beautiful boutique B&B, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, (four hours early, a huge error on my part), we were welcomed like old friends. Karen, the owner, wasn't at all fazed by our arrival, and told us to sit in the lounge and our room would be ready in minutes. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and airy, and the bathroom huge with a bath big enough for two, and separate shower. Everything is top spec, from the toiletries in the room, to the furnishings, and the welcome you receive. Karen gives you a map with restaurant recommendations and ideas of things to do. One day we sat out on the decking, and David brought out the cushions for the chairs. They really go the extra mile to make your stay special. There are only five bedrooms in the house which gives it a really intimate feel. What Karen and David have created here is a really special retreat .The breakfasts also deserve a special mention, from fresh fruits, yoghurt, honey, cereals, to a freshly cooked breakfast with good quality ingredients. Honestly, stay here, you can't help but love it!

Check in.
Made most welcome by Karen with a much welcomed coffee after quite a long drive.
Parking is tight , but so is everywhere in St Ives and Carbis Bay.
Room.
Stayed in Mousehole room. Excellent views, comfortable bed, and a fantastic en suite wet room. Ample space for hanging clothes and storage. Could be described as small, but not an issue.
Communal areas.
With only 5 rooms, the communal areas are in proportion quite large, and decorated to a high standard. The guest lounge is peaceful with fantastic views of Carbis Bay. The patio is superb , breakfast al fresco is an option here,as is a chilled glass of wine/ soft drink from the Loyalty bar, later on. Outdoor heating available and a lovely big hammock to relax in.
Breakfast
Absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Fresh produce and generous portions ,which I believe are all locally sourced, will set you up for the day. Served in the bright and airy breakfast room, the views are fantastic. Get down early for the two window tables to enjoy the views, though the 4 other tables have the same view, just with you included!
Absolutely no negative feedback.
Location.
Perfect to avoid the somewhat chaotic scenes of St.Ives at peak. 30 minute walk on the coastal path to St. ives and £ 5 return by taxi. You can also take the very short journey by the train, located just down the rather steep hill.
Book early, or you will be disappointed!
Thanks Karen, loved our stay.

Room Tip: Try and get the ocean seaview rooms. Stunning!

We would like to echo all that has been written about Beachcroft Retreat. A beautiful house, spotless and stylish to say the least. Karen is a wonderful, welcoming host and the 'girls' were lovely. Breakfast was amazing, fresh local ingredients beautifully cooked. Location perfect and as the name suggests a 'retreat' without a doubt. Thank you for a wonderful few days Paula and Stuart x

Refined and stylish, this boutique B&B with views out to Carbis Bay was everything we'd hoped for: Beautifully presented house and garden; delicious breakfasts served in a light and airy dining room and friendly, informal service. Just perfect!

What can we say, from the moment we arrived at Beachcroft we felt relaxed, comfortable, stress free, at home. Beachcroft is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and is in a quiet residential area of Carbis Bay, just a 30 minute walk along a coastal path to St Ives. My husband had specially chosen this weekend away for my 50th birthday and I have to say, the boy did good! The scrambled egg and salmon and the apple juice at breakfast was delicious and the girls who served us were lovely and very helpful. The owner, Karen, couldn't do enough for us and thanks to her wonderful choice of restaurants, she made it a weekend we will always remember. We would highly recommend Beachcroft and will certainly be returning. Thank you Karen and happy birthday for the 20th! Alan & Kim x

Room Tip: Trevose has wonderful sea views.
