Tucked away in a small alley within a minute's walk to Porthmeor beach lies the jewel that is The Keep. Run by charismatic but discreet husband and wife duo, the Millwards, The Keep offers top notch bed and breakfast accommodation in the very centre of St Ives.
The two bedrooms are fresh, spotlessly clean and exquisitely designed. The huge ensuite
shower rooms are a particular attraction, benefiting from a very decadent monsoon shower and what seemed like a limitless supply of soft white towels.
Breakfast is served in the atrium area outside the two bedrooms and aside from the usual full English, guests are also offered a daily special, which during our four day stay ranged from eggs Benedict, croque Monsieur to the most delicious berry pancakes that I have ever tasted!
Aside from the accommodation, the owners of The Keep, Mike and Carol, proved to be faultless hosts with his placid, intelligent and unassuming attention teamed with her sparkly and quick witted humour making them a tour de force in the hospitality business.

We were so lucky to get booked into our favorite B and B where we have stayed many times. Now the train line to Cornwall is open we would recommend booking now!
Why book The Keep ?Well the warmth of the welcome as you arrive is a sign of things to come.The accommodation is stylish, comfortable and there is a great attention to detail in the rooms, water decanters and fresh flowers for example. It is also immaculately clean. Breakfasts deserve the award they have won. We love the fresh fruit salads and the specials like ham and eggs, bacon baps etc
This is all served up by Carol and Mike. They give ideas of places to visit and are so friendly and warm. Nothing is too much trouble.
Centrally placed for all the beaches,restaurants ,shops etc.

Great location in the heart of the town. Lovely hosts in Carol & Mike and high quality modern accommodation in a traditional property. Excellent quality food for breakfast including a daily special. Perfect for our romantic break.
