Based on 'standard room' booking: A clean, friendly hotel, standard rooms somewhat dated but excellent value for money. Very friendly reception. Room and bathroom small, very plain, view of garden wall. Comfortable though, very good nights sleep with no early morning hotel noise. One thing I didn't like was the room lighting, which although commendably 'energy saving', was far too bright - there was no option to create a softer evening lighting.
Good size breakfast / dining room. Excellent breakfast with a range that included kippers, eggs benedict, full 'Cornish', etc. Coffee and orange juice only average.
If you are walking to hotel from nearby town you have to cross quite a busy road and there is a fair steep, but short climb up to the hotel.
When in the town, make sure to visit Pengenna Pasties for the best scones in the country, and huge, genuine Cornish pasties!
In all, a comfortable two nights with good food, and amazing value at the price.More
