Booked this late and had a great time.
Excellent value, comfortable room, brilliant breakfasts....especially if you can get a window seat :-)
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
St Ives in the winter is lovely, though we were extremely lucky with the weather.
Would stay here again, if we were to visit again

Room Tip: I only put average for the room because the shower was rubbish

We stayed at this Hotel in July of 13.

The location was very convenient to walking downhill into the busier part of St Ives.

Parking was easy, for the most part. The space doesn't hold a lot of vehicles and there was point when we had to wait for an open spot, but it wasn't a long wait.

Reception was fast and friendly.

Our room was large, with a terrific view over St Ives and the sea. Adequate furnishings and bath. Slightly faded, but nothing worth complaining about.

Nice breakfast. Fresh and tasty.

We had to leave one day earlier than expected and the hotel did not charge us for this inconvenience which Impressed me very much considering how busy St Ives was in July.

A nice stay in an above average, although not top notch, establishment.

Stayed in December, the cheapest option available in St Ives when booking at £55 a night. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The corridors looked a bit dingy but the room was sprightly and clean. It was comfortable and a decent size. The car park could do with being resurfaced. The breakfast was poor on the first morning (buffet, most items fairly cold, due to wedding), but a lot better on the second morning when it was freshly cooked. Overall felt was decent value for money and would return. Good location, around 10 mins walk into St Ives.

Having read both some positive and negative reviews I was a little worried that our mini break could turn out a disaster. We decided to pay a little extra and book a studio apartment with a sea view, and the moral of the story appears to be "you get what you pay for".

This is what I would call a traditional seaside hotel, but one that has a great "feel" about it with all the staff looking happy and wanting to help.

The room was huge, bigger than many 5 star hotels and even with an extra bed in it for a child there was space all around ... and the view was incredible across the bay.

The staff were excellent, from booking, reception and in the restaurant.

We would definately stay here again ... but would make sure we booked a room that suited our needs, rather than the cheapest room available which is always likely to be the smallest with no sea view.

If you are happy to spend just a few pounds more you can get a huge room with a perfect view.

Room Tip: Pay extra to get a bigger room with a sea view
