We stayed for three nights at this charming hotel. The first thing you notice is that all the staff are very young, don't be fooled. the staff are excellent, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble for them. Everyone of them gave us a warm welcome and made our stay extremely enjoyable.

The hotel has a lounge bar with a sun room which has the most fantastic views over the bay.

Ours bedroom also had a sea view which gave us a great view of the bay. We saw a pod of dolphins from our bedroom window while we were there!

The food was excellent with the menu being changed everyday. We dined there twice and on both occasions were delighted. Breakfasts were equally as good.

The hotel is just a short walk from the town centre (10 mins).

If there was a criticism it would have to be that the decor and furniture in our room was a little dated.

But other than that bring on the next holiday there! Oh, and make sure you keep the staff, they are fantastic.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view

The hotel is located about 15 walking minutes from the harbour and has good parking facilities too, even a bus can get access to the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, but slightly small for bigger suitcases. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was freshly cooked and very good indeed. The hotel has a bar and bistro, which we didn't try but apparently is very good as well. You can get rooms here for larger groups without the hotel seeming to be too big a building. Only downside: despite having an elevator in the house, most rooms can only be reached by taking additional stairs. That was difficult for our elderly guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that's directly on the lift level if you have problems with stairs. Bus access on...

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The room was well decorated and clean and had a wonderful view of the sea. The food was fantastic with a great choice for breakfast, I enjoyed the scrambled egg and smoked salmon and a lovely three course meal in the bistro looking out to the sea! The staff very helpful and friendly. We will look forward to returning next year

Just spent a long weekend in St Ives stay at the Albany. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean, great breakfast, paying for a sea view is a must and well worth it. Ln the downside, the mattress needed sorting and the bath looked big but couldn't take my shoulders.
All in all, we'd definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Second floor with a sea view. Room 25 is opposite the lift so you might want to avoid as people aren...

Wonderful breakfast in dining room overlooking the sea. Fish and eggs freshly cooked to order, alongside all the traditional hot and cold breakfast goods. I would say its the best hotel breakfast I have ever had: nothing dried up or lukewarm here !! Staff are great: efficient and friendly. Decor a bit dated, our room was small and the shower was lacking power, but none of these detracted from our stay. Not right in the centre of town, so quiet, but only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants, shops and the railway station (although St Ives is hilly: be prepared for steps and slopes if walking into town)

Very friendly staff, fabulous room and views, freshly cooked breakfast. Great place to stay out of the main part of St Ives so much quieter. The hotel is a bit old but that didn't spoil our break. Fresh sparkling and still water bottles in our room every day, biscuits and sachets replenished every day too. Never enough wall sockets though.

Room Tip: Room 27 - sea facing, king size bed plus single bed and settee (which we turned round so we could si...

We booked into the hotel for a one night stay after traveling down for a holiday slightly earlier then exepected. This was our 7 month olds first holiday and we could not have asked for a more accepting hotel. All of our querys were answered quickly over the phone and the staff made sure we received a lovely sized room to allow for deployment of a travel cot. Staff could not have been more helpful the bed was lovely and comfy, the hotel well maintained. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning and check out was painless.
