This was a really good hotel, with a great location on the hill above the town, overlooking Tate St Ives. The staff were very pleasant and the restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. We also used the pool and sauna, which were small, but very nice.
Our room (Room 4) had amazing views, over the sea, and the 4-poster bed was comfortable, but the decor was a little tired, and the bathroom needed revamping. The owner assured me this was about to be done, and showed me the Farrow and Ball paint delivery in the foyer!
The only other thing to perhaps mention is that the other guests all appeared to be fairly 'mature' in years - we are 38 and 40, and felt that we brought the average age down quite a bit! There were a few younger couples, but not many, and this was a very quiet hotel, so perhaps not for everyone, although I'm sure you would receive a warm welcome!
We had a really pleasant stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The staff at this hotel are really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed sitting in front of an open fire in the lounge in the evening. The food was excellent. We had pre-booked meals in a couple of restaurants in St Ives before our stay but on reflection we would have been much better eating at the hotel. Would unreservedly recommend it.

Just 3 days at Garrack. Tricky to find so use Sat Nav if poss. All very good and food was excellent. The hotel has fantastic views, but quite a walk down-hill to town. there is a car park - parking and driving is difficult in St Ives.

First time we have stayed at this Hotel. The room had fantastic views of the sea, it was very clean and the bathroom was of a high standard. Staff very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent with a different menu every day. Our stay at this hotel formed an integral part of our holiday.

having been to the garrack for our 2nd wedding anniversary and loved the place we could not think of a better place to stay for our 25th. we arrived quite early but our room was available stunning views of the sea, all the staff were really lovely and friendly we had breakfast and eveing meal and the food was excellent could not fault a thing the room was plenty big enough and was made up every morning. if i had to say one thing that we were a little disappointed about was that on the day of our 25th we thought maybe we would have been offered a free glass of wine or drink with our evening meal but that aside we would definately recommend this place and will go back and visit soon

We spent our honeymoon at the Garrack and were not disappointed. All the staff were helpful and courteous. The meals and facilities offered were of an excellent standard.
The overall atmosphere was thoroughly relaxing, so much so that the outside world seems to be on hold. Having been to the Garrack several times it is a small part on England, unique in its ambience. Somewhere we shall return to as long as able.

Room Tip: The bedroom we stayed in (18) was big airy and the bed was super king. A good nights sleep was had a...
