Danny and Lee welcomed us warmly, gave lots of good advice on where to eat out, where to walk and what else to do in St. Ives and surroundings. Our room was lovely furbished. It also contained a DVD-player, an ipod docking station and coffee/tea facilities. The living room has a great view on St. Ives and the sea. Wifi and an ipad for everyone to use are also available.
It's really nice to pop in for a tea and have a chat with Danny and Lee. The breakfast is delicious. I enjoyed the fresh fruit salad every morning. Besides the Traditional Full English Breakfast (vegetarian option available) another cooked breakfast option is offered for a change every day. All in all I can definitely recommend staying at the Little Leaf Guest House.

Room Tip: Room 4 is very cosy - perfect for couples

During our trip to Cornwall, we stopped at the Little Leaf GH for two days. The hospitality was great. Danny and Lee are very kind. The guest house is on a hill facing St. Yves harbor...the view from the rooms is breathtaking! Let me say that THEY SERVE THE BEST ENGLISH BREAKFAST OF CORNWALL!!! The breakfast room has a wide window with panoramic view and if you get up early you can have the best breakfast with the best scenery, you couldn't wish for more!! If you come by your car you can "fight" for a free parking on Park Avenue (only winter months) or use the Parking lot just aside the guesthouse, this one a bit expensive during the day.
Just a short walking through a pedestrian path and you reach the centre of St. Yves.
No doubt, Little Leaf is the best place where to stay in St. Yves!

We stayed in St Ives during the Easter break and booked our stay in room 5 of the Little Leaf Guest House back in February after reading about it on this very site. This is certainly one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. From the very beginning Lee and Danny made us welcome by name and gave us a great understanding of what St Ives had to offer and at breakfast each morning would remember and ask about our previous day's excursions. We were made to feel extremely welcome.

Room 5 on the first floor had stunning views of St Ives harbour and the old town. A couple of very comfortable chairs in the large bay window were the perfect spot to relax in after a day's exploring and the addition of a pair of binoculars was a nice touch! A large bed and a comfortable mattress allowed both of us to get plenty of sleep and waking up to the sound of seagulls each morning was a joy. The bathroom had a large walk in shower and was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast each morning offered the choice of the day's "special" dish or a full English breakfast alongside cereal, fruit and yoghurt which we could help ourselves to before the main breakfast arrived. Friday's special was the most delicious mixed berry and cinnamon french toast which was truly stunning!

We would certainly recommend the Little Leaf to anyone looking for a home away from home whilst staying in St Ives and we'd like to thank both Lee and Danny for such a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: Room 5 has a large bay window and balcony with fantastic views of the harbour.

I have just returned from the Little Leaf with my girlfriend Natalie who has also written a review below too. The Little Leaf is the most beautiful B and B I have been to, enhanced by the warm and friendly personalities of the owners, Lee and Danny. On both the occasions we have visited the Little Leaf, Danny and Lee have greeted us and made us a cup of tea in between being busy little bees making bread or preparing stuff for breakfast the following day. They are lovely and very interesting to sit in the comfy breakout area and chat with whilst they make the breakfast area ship shape again after breakfast time.

The rooms are amazing. They always have a unique fragrance that I can't place but is amazing every time you come back to your room and they are equipped with fluffy carpets, big comfy beds with plush pillows, an en suite shower room, a flat screen TV/DVD player, clipper tea and coffee, IPod Docs, DVDs and books downstairs to borrow etc etc etc. The breakfast too is fantastic as they use lovely local ingredients, which is great if you want to get your own because you can just nip into the town and get some for yourself when you go home. For example, the sausages are from the local butchers in the middle of St Ives and we took some home.

Lastly, St Ives is a wonderful place to visit. There are lots of little attractions but what makes staying at the Little Leaf even better is that Lee and Danny know lots of nice things to do/eat and always have good advice as to what to do. The local pasties are a good example - Lee and Danny recommended Pengenna Pasties in town which is a local Cornish bakery but you could miss out on by going to one of the (poorer and more expensive) chain pasty shops on the front. The Little Leaf also looks over St Ives Harbour and St Ives Bay (we saw dolphins on our first stay) and is a short walk from shops, sea, surf, beach etc. There is also a big car park next to it which is quite reasonable, a rare privilege in Kernow.

We will 100% be staying with Lee and Danny again and cannot wait to book our next little trip :)

Just got home from our second stay this year at Little Leaf, was so wonderful to arrive again and see the welcoming faces of Lee and Danny. The garden room was lovely and breakfast as ever a perfect start to each day. Their advise on where to go and what to do was once again spot on, we really did have the most wonderful weekend away. Although we were sad to leave we know we will be back again this year at some point for our 3rd stay. We certainly won't be staying anywhere else other than Little Leaf....my home away from home :)

We had a very lovely time at Little Leaf.

Lee and Danny are wonderful and friendly hosts. Good cooks too! They were very helpful with advice on what to see, do, eat in St. Ives.

Delicious breakfasts each morning. Comfortable spacious bed. Good sized room. Plenty of storage space, nice decor, and nice things like iPod player. Very clean and spacious bathroom.

Conveniently located near a big car park and on-street parking.

We are very pleased with our choice to stay at Little Leaf.

Room Tip: We had the garden room but next time we will try to get the seaview room.
