“Beautiful ”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

Stopped here on other years for a yummy mid day treat, but came back this year with an added member of the family, and the staff were so lovely, was offered help into the food room with our pram by staff, and the young man helped with the chair booster seat for my son, he was very kind and helpful, and when ordering food he showed me the children's meal treasure box Which went down a treat with our little boy great quality food inside :)
We ordered the fresh cream tea and Earl Gray and wasn't disappointed at all, the scones had just come out the oven and they were perfect. The jam used was excellent I even brought some before leaving,
This is a must stop place while in St Ives it's just lovely and thank you to the staff also.

“The best Cream Tea in St. Ives”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Whilst on holiday in St. Ives we decided to stop here for a cream tea...wow! it was delicious.

Warm scones, home-made jam and clotted cream - a match made in heaven.

“Lovely food and now improved service”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

We've been here a few times over the years and the service has improved greatly.

Here's how:-

The first visit we were the first/only people in there, we were given a menu and ordered tea which was delivered. We finished the tea, nothing happened. What can best be described as a regular customer came in on his own, he knew exactly what he wanted and gave his whole order in one go.

We were still being ignored. When he eventually came to clear our drinks tray we ordered food, when it eventually came it was really good.

After this we used our 'local' knowledge and placed the whole order while we had his attention.

This time (May 2014), the service has improved beyond recognition, there were more staff and nothing was too much trouble, the food was still excellent.

“Twice in one day... ”
Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

Nice cafè with excellent service. Whilst enjoying our coffee and cookie/brownie, we noticed the display of salads and deli foods - so we returned later for lunch, and they helpfully made up plates of the tasty selections of our choice.
