So much better than a B&B, the rooms were ensuite, comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with local information. The restaurant meals were good quality and value for money. The food is all locally sourced and the menu wide-ranging which was very welcome after a day enjoying the local walks. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and will return.

Was not planning on a stay in St Ives, just passing through for a few hours, A trip my husband & i from New Zealand had planned for somtime, We are so glad we did :) And so lucky in the Uk holiday season we were able to book a room at the badger inn for the evening, we were made very welcome, loved the atmosphere & the staff were very pleasent and fun, enjoyed the garden area for our refreshements before dinner, Totaly enjoyed our evening meal very much well presented and fantastic value, not to mention the blackberry & apple crumble if only i could finish it now, Def a dish to be shared by two :) Thank you we are returning 2015 and hope all will still be running the premises we will be returning to the Badger Inn for a longer stay.

The food and carvery is excellent and very good value for money, you get plenty of tasty, wholesome food, the Badger Inn does not profess to be a Michelin Star restaurant, but provides very decent food for a reasonable and acceptable price. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they have a sense of humour and are keen to help. The atmosphere in the pub and restaurant is good and live music is an added bonus. The rooms are clean and spacious, again providing good value for money. Overall, highly recommended for food, accommodation and service, in an atmosphere and surroundings that do not try to be pretentious but rather offer great value for money, in a beautiful location. Many locals eat and drink here when a table is available, which is more than proof of the pudding!

From the outside this place looked very nice, but from there on in, it was downhill. Bar staff were pleasant enough. We had a couple of drinks before our meal. We ordered a starter of crab cakes, which were just ok. In fact they looked like two totally different things. The main course arrived. I had ordered fish pie, expecting it to be outstanding given that we were in Cornwall where fish is plentiful. However, when it arrived my heart sank. Basically there was a huge dollop of bland potatoes covered in masses of cheese on top of a sloppy mixture which contained veryblittlecfish. My husband ordered sea bass with bacon and spinach mash served with sun blush tomato & garlic pesto. The meal arrived. Two small bits of fish looked very unappealin on top of mash switch bits of hard cabbage through it. Not a bit of bacon in sight and little sign of peso. We paid £56 for the meal. Not good value for such a poor meal.

Great burger, if you are hungry!
Had a lovely stop here for a late lunch and a large appetite after a day of site seeing and surfing. Sat in the nice beer garden so can't comment on the inside or anything else but the burgers!

We ate here August 2013 at around 7:00 pm and the car park was full and the restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was very good and the aroma of the food and the carvery lured us in.
We had no trouble finding a table although many were reserved - it seems that 17:00 to 19:30 is peak times for families and it did quieten down a lot after 19:00
There is a good sized beer garden and outside seating area.
My wife and I both had the carvery which, once you have ordered at he bar, you are called for by table number. This is very good as it avoids queuing at the small-ish carvery servery.
My wife had the beef and I had the pork and we were each given two quite thick slices which were very good quality and cooked medium well.
There was an excellent selection of vegetables and the cauliflower cheese was perfect - yum !.
The different food we saw other customers have all looked good as did the desserts.
I had a pint of Tribute ale which I hadn't had for years and it was nectar.
Absolutely recommend this place and its worth persevering to find a parking space - would be happy if his was my local !.

Room Tip: Get there a little later in the evening if you can to avoid the busy families period. Parking is sli...

Big group of us went to this place on a Saturday night. We'd spied it from the road and were impressed by the outside decor. Should have left it there. Worse atmosphere ever. It was a bank holiday weekend and there were about three tables full in the entire place. Incredibly overpriced food and drink, even by a Londoner's standards! It's like one massive waiting room for death. Avoid at all costs
