“Family friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

This beach is excellent for people with young families.
Quieter and more sheltered than some of the other beaches in St. Ives. Again food available from the cafe and toilet facilities available.
We don't have a young family ourselves, but have happy memories of times spent on this beach when our kids were younger.

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

This is a lovely beach with great amenities. It's a sheltered beach ideal for families. You can hire a beach hut on a daily basis for £12 a day or £80 a week. Also you can hire deck chairs for £3 each. The toilets are very clean and well kept. There is a great beach bar that does a great ham baguette

“Thanks for the memories”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Visited this beach as a child and again almost 50 years later. It is still one of my most favorite places in the world. Be sure to visit all of the beaches in St. Ives and eat a Cornish pasty. I have some really cute snapshots of my daughter and her friend dipping their toes into the ocean. The water is still very cold in May but there were plenty of sunbathers on the beach.

“Beautiful little beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

The smallest of the beaches around St Ives, and a real gem, sheltered perfectly below the island. The sea here is ideal for bathing, food & drink is available and there are toilets as well as the brilliant Porthgwidden Beach Cafe nearby. Can get busy on a hot summers day.

This is my favourite beach in st ives, whether sitting with grandchildren. Paddling, or walking round above the beach the views are stunning. I have seen dolphins pass the bay on a couple of occasions. It s truly beautiful x
