Our first visit to Cornwall and so glad that we chose the location and the holiday farm. Our little cottage was clean, modern and well equipped. The Stables was just the right size for us and our toddler. A great help to have the travel cot, high chair and kids plate, bowl and cup. Greeted by yummy homemade cookies so a great start. Only 5 minutes maximum into St Ives so ideal and our toddler adored the animals. He loved to visit them every morning and evening and the toys available were ideal to keep him busy. The play barn is super and has so many toys but as the weather was so lovely we didn't use it a lot but it would fantastic on days when the weather is not as good. Would happy return again and recommend to families big and small plus couples too.

We have just returned from a family holiday with two toddlers. The location is near perfect and acts as a great base for visiting St Ives and southern Cornwall. The weather was near perfect which made the break even more perfect. However if your not so lucky with the weather, Melanie and Russell have everything covered with a great games room and an excellent play barn for the toddlers. So the stress of what to do on a rainy day is totally taken away.

The farm is also in a beautiful setting. The created walk around the fields is lovely and leads to the cliff tops and stunning sea views. You may also want to try the beef from the farm. We tried some steak and sausages and they were truly tasty. This was eaten in the lovely garden facing the sea.

This was a fantastic family holiday that we will remember and talk about for a very long time.

We initially wanted to be in the heart of St Ives but the lack of parking and worry of what to do in bad weather resulted in us looking at this as an alternative. It was perfect. Very family friendly including things to do if the weather wasn't great. Our young children loved the animals, the indoor play barn and the park. It also took just a few minutes to get to St Ives where we parked up for the day and spent great days on the beach, but happily returned to our quiet retreat in the countryside afterwards. The pack provided in our cottage gave us lots of useful information including good places to eat with the family. Lovely cottage and owners. Definitely recommend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review. We really do appreciate it and are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay here at Trevalgan. We understand that people are sometimes apprehensive at not being in the heart of St Ives but we agree that it's close enough not to be a problem and a lot of our customers really appreciate not having to fight the crowds or battle to find a parking space close to their accommodation. We hope to see you again.

We just love visiting Cornwall and have adopted Trevalgan Holiday Farm as our home from home whenever we can get down there.

The cottages are lovely and cosy, are well equipped and have been frequently updated throughout the years that we have been visiting. Everything is seemingly catered for, whether you are staying as a couple or a family. The owners, Mel & Russell are very welcoming, giving you the impression that nothing is too much trouble.

The location is great too. A 5 - 10 minute drive from the centre of St. Ives, or a stunning 45 minute walk along the coastal path – thoroughly recommended! In the summer months there is also a regular bus service into St. Ives that serves the camp site next door. There are other great walks to be had from here, our favourite being over the fields to Zennor and the Tinners Arms with their fantastic crab sandwiches!

Whenever we stay here we always manage to switch off completely and every visit seems to last longer than they actually are. Just writing this is making us want to get in the car and get down there! We really can’t recommend it enough.

Also, make sure you grab some of the beef that Russell who runs the farm, sells on site. The steaks are simply delicious!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot when customers take the time to write a review especially when it's so kind! I'm also a big fan of the walk up to The Tinners and of St Ives Beef! We can't wait to welcome you back on your next visit to Cornwall.

We wanted somewhere baby friendly for our first family holiday with our 4 month holiday. This was in October and coincided with our 10 year anniversary. We were delighted with Trevalgan which met all our needs. The flat was clean and well equipped, even supplied with travel cot and sterilizer on request which saved space in the car which was already overloaded! In a few years time our daughter will have great fun in the toy barn and meeting the animals. We did a few short walks using a baby carrier and another with the pram along lanes. Brilliantly situated for visiting st Ives, Zennor, Sennen, Mousehole and Cape Cornwall. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others with babies
