Lovely little park set in woodland, we didn't take the car so was a tad secluded at first. Don't get the train to Lelant Saltings go to St. Earth and get a taxi Apple cars were fab. The bus fare to and from St. Ives for 2 adults and 1 child was £11.25 but for £20.00 2 adults and all children can ride around all day perfect for exploring the surrounding areas and shopping at the local tesco in Carbis Bay the bus 17A is every 25 mins and the bus stop is right outside the shop. We had booked a bronze chalet but were upgraded to silver the chalet no. 281 was spotless, smelled fresh and clean and had everything you could need, the heating was on and the beds were all made up. Every single member of staff were lovely, the facilities were good and the nature trail is stunning the only grumble we had from my 12 year old was there was nowhere for him to play football! All in all we would definitely come back to this lovely well maintained holiday park.

We do take great pride in cleaning all grades of accommodation to a very high standard and it’s brilliant that this isn’t going unnoticed. All comments will be passed on to our Housekeeper and the cleaning team.

We always have a lovely holiday here. We are still coming every year. The staff and accommodation are excellent. The grounds are kept in good condition . The chalets are clean and comfortable. We do not use the entertainment facilities very often. It was nice to see a real ale (Tribute) on sale. We have only one complaint about the state of roads which was bad with potholes.

Returned yesterday after a 4 night break( home after 3). Chose this park as a base(wasn't intended for a family holiday, and had no reason to use their facilities)as they allow dogs so we took ours and was as close to st ives as we could get at the last minute during the easter hols. We got a deal as we booked late, would never had paid the original for what we got. Ok, so we took the dog, doesn't mean we live like one..
Smelly, grimy, cob webs, very dated, slugs in bathroom, double bed? More a large single, we had to sleep in separate rooms. So,very little sleep and poor quality when we did. Would not recommend as a holiday for anyone. Kids would like it( very young kids) as they don't see what we do. Seemed to be things for them to do.
The silver bungalow 4 we had in my opinion needs a total makeover. No where to hang anything to get it dry. New kitchen facilities, a touch of paint would not fix it, which is what seems to happen, just cover it with paint?? Hate to think what a bronze was like. Other bungalows were having work done, however we believe these were privately owned. If you have some standards avoid the bungalows!!

We booked a short break as a belated honeymoon through the Daily Mail as we'd been unable to afford one at the time . It cost a very reasonable £43 for 4 nights & we arrived with a little trepidation as we'd unfortunately seen a couple of less than complimentary reviews, but for the amount we weren't expecting the Ritz!! Upon arrival, the very helpful staff who welcomed us also gave us a congratulatory bottle of wine with their compliments. Our chalet was very warm as the heaters had been put on for us & was lovely & clean. The beds had been made up for us so that was also a bonus!!. We decided to eat in the on site restaurant on the first & whilst the menu at first glance looked quite impressive we were informed that most of it was unavailable but we saw the funny side & ordered anyway as the staff were all so lovely. We went through for the entertainment afterwards to find that there was rather a long game of bingo taking place(we don't play bingo) followed by a quiz & then everything finished quite early. But it is still low season & there probably weren't enough people there to make it worthwhile staying open longer. We spent the next day exploring the local area & went off site in the evening for a meal(& it also involved finding a place showing the football for my husband!!) One of our heaters had decided to stop working that morning so we'd reported it to reception on our way out & by the time we returned, someone had been to look at it, been unable to get it working & left us another plug in heater so that we could remain warm & cosy!! On the last evening we went to the clubhouse late enough to miss the bingo & caught the conclusion of race night & the quiz which we managed to win so more wine to take back!! Felt sorry for the staff having so few people to entertain but they were looking forward to more people to entertain on the weekend after we left!! They were rehearsing some of their performances as we were leaving for the evening(we were the last ones standing!!) All in all a very pleasant experience & we will definitely be looking to go again!! Thank You to everyone for making us so welcome!!!

Room Tip: Try to stay close enough to the entertainment as some of it is quite a long walk if you have mobilit...

Hello Mandi

Thank you very much for leaving us such a fantastic review, we really appreciate it. Your comments have been passed to all departments.

The park does not deserve poor reviews and thankfully they are few and far between. We simply do not understand why some people choose to post them, when all the staff work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. However, we are all individuals and we can all have vastly different opinions on the same subject.

I was amused to read that your husband wanted to watch football on his honeymoon and that you appeared to be happy with that. That bodes well for a long and happy relationship.

I am delighted to hear that you had a great time. Our returning customers are very important to us and we look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

We booked a break in March through The Sun holiday offer. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews but we had a friendly welcome and upgraded to bronze without asking. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully the heaters and hot water were already switched on for our arrival which was a welcome thought as it was quite chilly. We didn't use any of the other facilities but used it as a base for visiting the area. The bronze cabin was clean and functional. The bathroom was a little too dark even with the lights on for shaving but was otherwise OK. The shower was electric and a little weak on the flow front but it worked and was adequate. Overall, I would go again out of season but would certainly want at least a bronze cabin as the basic cabins were looking a bit tatty.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Your comments have been passed to all departments. .

You are quite correct about some of the chalets. Many of the older budget chalets have been demolished and are being with fantastic new lodges. 7 have appeared in the last few months and we have just obtained planning permission for a further 36. As you will appreciate, such a massive investment does not happen overnight.

However, we are delighted to hear that you had a great holiday and we really hope to see you again in the near future.

Reading reviews i am sure people forget that they only payed £80 for 4 nights away with full use of facilities included in the price.

We upgraded to a silver chalet for £40 extra through bad reviews but even paying the extra it was only costing us £44 for the 4 nights so at £84 its still a bargain and while the chalets look very outdated from the outside, inside they are very clean and just what you need for a short break with a full kitchen and dinning table, 2 sofas and 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin.

The matresses were very hard but again you get what you pay for and in this instance it was a bargain to be so close to St Ives for myself, my wife and our 18 month old.

I would use this site 100% again in a heartbeat at the price we paid.

Some people just like to moan i feel and even though they pay 1 star rates expect 5 star quality.

Room Tip: We had chalet 30 close to all amenties but far enough away to not hear a thing

Hello Pittman

Thank you very much for leaving us such a fantastic 5 star review, we really appreciate it. Your comments have been passed to all departments.

I sometimes wonder who writes the poor reviews about such a lovely park but perhaps, more importantly, why. When we try to contact the writers of the really bad ones to discover what exactly went wrong with their holiday, you can imagine we get no reply.

I am delighted to hear that you had a great time and we look forward to welcoming you again very soon.
