Myself & partner stayed here for 3 nights in august, i have been to St. Ives a good few times so knew exactly where the place was and more importantly what an absolute pain it is to park the car, so to find a place thats a 5 minute walk from the beach, harbour or town centre (& the tate) that actually has car parking, has to be a bonus.
The room (#3) had a view onto Porthmeor beach, its has freeview tv which was great to keep up with the football on sky sports news! the usual hot drinks and is very clean, i`ll agree with a previous poster on here that the bathroom was small, but i don`t understand anyone making a big deal of it, after all, exactly what do you wanna do in there???
Breakfast was a good choice really and i for one can have no complaints about the amount, the full english was really nice, like the fact that its locally sourced as well, there`s as much cereal, yoghurt and fruit you can want, also plenty of toast and cornish butter.
Andrew and naomi are good hosts and help you where they can, but keep out of your way. There`s no way you can complain about the price or the service really, good value place, many thanks.
We are walkers so loved the South West Path, making it to Pendeen Watch Lighthouse, then up into Pendeen for a pint at the Radjid pub, yes i thought it sounded a bit like a curry house, but its not, and i can wholly recommend a pint of St. Austell`s Liquid Sunshine when you do get there.
