This is a wonderful place to stay in a stunning location just outside of St Ives with beautiful views across Carbis Bay. Joanne makes her guests very welcome with offer of refreshments before showing you to your room; we had a 3 night stay in Room 10 which is lovely and furnished to a very high standard. A short walk down the hill and you can jump on the train into St Ives which takes about 3 minutes but again with gorgeous views. The breakfast menu at Lamorna is very comprehensive and delicious (can recommend the home made marmalade!)-cooked by Richard and served by Joanne who is always on hand to recommend things to do in the area.
This was our first visit and we have fallen in love with both St Ives and lovely Lamorna Lodge-we cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: Room 10 has 2 double windows with stunning views

I had a wedding at the very expensive carbis bay hotel on may bank holiday, so we chose to make a little holiday out of it and found this b&b to stay in. We had a lovely weekend, bit of a walk up a very steep hill from the beach! But st. Ives was a 5 min drive and the beach about 10-15min walk. We stayed in room 9 family room, stunning views and was a big room for 3 of us. Breakfast was lovely, the staff were friendly and were great especially toward my 4 year old. Would stay again and recommend.

Our stay was 6 nights in a premier room with ocean views that you could not fault, we did not meet Richard during our stay but welcomed by Joanne in to their home, very homely feel, there home is our home feel & not like a hotel, a great welcome from Joanne not only on the day arrived but every morning at breakfast. Information is there for sites to see & Joanne told us places local that are good & may be of interest. A train ride into St Ives at the bottom of the hill found a must to leave the car behind due to cost of parking & bus ride. Joanne can do a pack lunch given notice the day before & are handy for your trips out; they also had homemade marmalade for sale that was great. Just cannot wait to return. If i could give it more rating i would, this has made such a good experience than two other trips taken in other locations over the years.

Room Tip: we had room 10, large with seating, sea view

We booked to stay in the Lamorna after our original choice of hotel became unavailable and we were glad it did because everything about the Lamorna was first class. We arrived early and thought we would be cheeky and try and check in. Joanne the owner was more than welcoming and sat us in the lounge area with fresh coffee and biscuits while she went to fetch our room key. We went into our room to drop off our bags and were very happy with the cleanliness, size and facilities of the room, we have stayed in hotels with higher star ratings and costs that don't come anywhere near the standards of Lamornna.
Joanne was very helpfull with local amenities and pointed us in the direction of the coastline train and also gave us local taxi firm numbers should we need them.
Breakfast was brilliant. Cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurts were available. Coffe/tea and toast was brought to your table while your choice of main breakfast was prepared. Warning!! Your breakfast will be hot.
Joanne made conversation with all her guests and was a very good host. Upon discovering we were in St Ives planning our wedding she told us of a few local florists and other firms we may be needing.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
Great room, great food, great view, great hosts.
