Had a lovely 3 nights stay with Susan and Marcus - the No 7 room was beautifully decorated and the window that opened into a small balcony added a touch of class and opened the room up - we highly recommend this B&B and look forward to returning in the near future

Room Tip: Room 7 had a fantastic view over the bay of St Ives

First of all, if I come back to St. Ives, I will stay at this guest house for sure.

I stayed here for two nights and it is absolutely a place to feel good. Susan and Marcus are really lovely and helpful people and made my stay there very pleasant. The room(en suite) was very clean and had a side sea view.

The breakfast tasted very good and was made with love. The breakfast room offered a straight sea view and was lovingly furnished by the owner, as well as the other common rooms.

Ideally situated it was only a few minutes walk to the harbour and to the seaside in the other direction. A really good base to explore St. Ives and its wonderful beaches and sights.

A significant advantage is the car park in the rear of the property, because parking in St. Ives is absolutely expensive and infuriating.

Lovely family run guest house with attention to detail!

Thank you and best, Anna

We booked 3 nights in june with 3 other couples. We were all very impressed with our rooms, very clean with big comfy beds. The breakfast room was set out very well , and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. A big thank you to susan and Marcus for a great weekend. We will be stopping there again as soon as we can get back to St Ives.

Room Tip: The top room has the best views

I booked 3 nights here for my mum & dad who needed a well deserved break. The booking process was easy and Susan was warm & friendly. The rest of the review is narrated by my mum..
" My husband & I want to say a very big thank you to Susan & Marcus for making our stay so comfortable & enjoyable. Our top room was clean, comfy & had amazing views thanks to the amount of windows in the room. Night time was so special to just gaze out at the sea & twinkling lights.
Breakfast was fantastic - well cooked, tasty & a huge choice. It set us up for each day. There were so many personal touches in this B&B that sets it apart from many others.
We would highly recommend this beautifully restored B&B and we will be back again,
Thank you, Vic & Sheila "

Room Tip: Room 8 at the top has very good views all round.

8 of us stayed for 3 nights over the weekend of 20th June. The location is ideal for exploring St Ives.
The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home.
The cooked breakfast was superb, very fresh and plenty of it, probably one of the best I have ever eaten... Yes it was that good.
Our room was very clean, we had room 8 on the top floor and the views were outstanding.
We would certainly return,
Many thanks,
Steve and Kim.

Room Tip: Room 8 is a room with a view.

We came across Channings as a result of all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor - we were looking for a hotel / B&B for a couple of nights in order to extend our weeks stay in a cottage (a week in St Ives is never long enough). Fully agree with all the other positive reviews: Susan & Marcus were extremely welcoming & most accomodating (most other hotels in the area wanted a minimum 3 night stay & did not take children), the breakfast was very good & our room was more than comfortable. The hotel is in a good quiet location just outside of the main town centre but easily walkable within 5 mins with the added bonus of parking (rare in St Ives). Would definately recommend a stay at Channings & certainly hope to return.
