“Great place to watch a quintinessential Cornish sandy beach with great food.”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

It was a bit cool outside so had a nice warm place indoors, with a terrific view throught the central window.
Food was terrific, wife had the fish pie and I, the pan fried seabass with seafood bouillabaisse.
Good attentive service, busy but very organised.
Again another cafe who actually know how to make a good coffee!

“Lovely place for a seaside lunch”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Very reasonably priced fish and chip lunch, fabulous views, lots of choices on menu all reasonably priced. Only downside having a white wine spritzer made with lemonade. Perhaps that's a Cornish thing, we should have made it clear we wanted soda water so did not complain. Watched seals from the large picture window. Will come again.

“Stormy weather”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We were in St Ives during the high seas and flooding at the beginning of February and had dinner dinner here. We had stopped for coffee many times over the years, but never to eat. In spite of, or perhaps because of the weather conditions, it was busy.It is a small place, with a small staff, but the service was friendly and efficient, and the food very good. Booking in advance is a must if you want the table with the best view of the beach.

“Horrendous!!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

About 2 years ago I had an encounter with a rather large hairball in my desert, so I have given it a wide berth. However decided to give them the benefit of the doubt booked a table 2 months as a large party arrived on time was made to hang around 45 minutes with 2 small children, and usher the previous table out the way!! Personally think they got greedy and over booked they ran out of steaks, so we had to reorder! the ones that did arrive were rare rather than medium they weren't ate and no one bothered checking. The meal was bland no taste I won't be going back and certainly don't recommend it the only thing I can say nice is the waitresses were friendly. A huge no go ever again.

“Amazing place”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We recently attended a wedding here and throughout the afternoon and evening I was surprised over and over again by the professionalism and level of service such a small place provided. The owner and her team were so efficient, the canapés and the buffet in the evening were not run of the mill but instead quirky (there had obviously been a lot of thought given to the food) and tasty and the day seemed to go without a hitch. I was particularly impressed by the owner who ensured that at all times the bride was looked after, had a full glass and a plate of food. I'd definitely go back - the views were so lovely and the beach was stunning in the evening. Lovely place.
