We stayed in the St Mawes Hotel on saturday, it had only re-opened 9 days before i believe. the decor throughout the hotel is done to a very high standard. The staff were all excellent and nothing seems like too much bother. Its pretty relaxed too in a typical cornwall way which is exactly what we were looking for. Although there is no hotel parking the reasonably priced public parking is a very short walk away. Unfortunately i can't comment on the breakfast we didn't make it down on time, nothing to do with the hotel, all due to our 3am night out! If i'm lucky enough to be back in St Mawes i'll be looking this place up again!

This was a great choice of places to eat. The food was so good! We tried a couple of other restaurants and kept coming back for almost every meal. The staff was so professional and helpful which made the service so good. We ended up having an 80th birthday dinner that went so well.

Visited on a wet day and had a coffee before deciding to stay for lunch. Comfortable friendly place with a good feel. Newspapers and magazines to read. Right in the center of St Mawes so you feel that everything is going on around you.
Service was good and we were listened to. The mussels were not as good as they used to be. That said they were very nice although there was a small amount of grit in them. They used to be fantastic.
Sandwiches were perfect with beautiful fresh bread and first class ingredients.
Overall a good place but they must attend to detail.

We couldn't eat here more than once as they don't take bookings. They don't need to as they are always busy and well worth going to see if they have space. I had scallops and they were divine, washed down of course with Cornish ale.

Perfectly located in the town and comfortable stay. Would recommend the cottage rooms which had a big walk in shower and comfy beds

This hotel offered good food at reasonable prices. The service let it down a little. I suspect they were understaffed at the begniing of the season. It was fairly empty when we were there but we still had to wait and the staff did not seem to know what they were doin. That being said because it was quiet it was not a problem.
