Overall the pub itself was nice with a sea view from most tables, eclectic decor and seaside themed objects throughout the pub. Menu was varied and a lot of the food was locally sourced for example the cod and the artisan breads. We chose the breads for starter with balsamic vinegar then burger and cod for mains. Portion sizes were very good for the price with a lot of chips and salad on the side of both meals. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive as well so overall a good experience and would recommend.

It's great that they offer a vegetarian dish, but a shame that the falafel burger was so flavourless. Also a shame given the ten metres from the sea that the scallops seemed to be massively unfresh. It's a lovely sunny conservatory but really the food misses the mark for such a great location

As with the other pub in the village, this establishment does not welcome drinkers inside when meals are being served. This is a pity as the beer range is reasonable. However, I was charged £4 for a pint of HSD. if this was not a mistake then it is the most expensive pub I have yet been in.

We always come here for dinner when we are in St Mawes. The food is always delicious, although the portions are a tad on the large side. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I would recommend this as a place to eat for all ages

The pub has closed and there is a to let sign in front of it. The food was excellent and it's out of the main city, which may be why it closed?
