It was a lovely pub with a lunchtime Sunday carvery, the food was good quality and we all enjoyed our meal along with a nice selection of local beers & ciders.

This place has a good locals bar and serves good solid no frills pud grub in the resteraunt served by friendly & helpful staff. A good easy going alternative to the more formal eateries in town.

The Rising Sun is situated looking out over the Harbour & the views are fantastic.
The bar has a good selection of drinks & a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly & helpful. If you can get in early you will be lucky enough to get a table overlooking the harbour. The menu is good & there is also a good selection of special dishes of the day.
There is no car park to the pub , but it is right next to the public car park (pay & display)
We would definitely visit again!

The “riser” delivers value for money, and at £10 (ish) a Carvery you can tell why.
Friendly pub with space to spare. Dog friendly with cosy second seating space and ample outside seating. Would I go back, yes, but only as St Mawes has a small number of value for money pubs, plus I’m a sucker for a carvery
