Travelling with a friend, we booked a two-room suite and couldn't have been happier with it and its facilities. Loved the boot drying machine. Thoroughly enjoyable vegetarian breakfast in the bar next morning. Convenient location for Tintagel castle and pleasant local shops.

This stay (on the nights of 28th - 30th March 2014) was just over 12 months from our first. On both occasions we have been impressed by the helpfulness of the staff.

We took advantage of the 3 nights for the price of 2 offer that ended on 31st March. We were in Room 3. Note; One of the rooms (4) has a separate bathroom, a point worth noting for those that must have an ensuite. There are also 4 new rooms being fitted out in the annex.

The King Arthur's is a well run pub providing value for money in terms of drinks, food and accommodation. The food is not fine dining but, is good honest pub grub and good value.
The rooms are very clean, a tribute to the staff.

I suspect the gap to our next visit will be much shorter than our last.

Keep up the good work!

Out and About.
The King Arthur's can provide all you require for your stay in terms of food, drinks and, accommodation. However, there are plenty of other pubs, cafes and restaurants in the village worth a try if you fancy a meal/ drink with a change of scenery. We didn't on this visit.

The King Arthur's is an ideal base for walking the Coast Path in this area and the pub has a useful boot and glove dryer should you get soaked.

The obvious attraction is the castle ruins (English Heritage) perched spectacularly on the cliffs.

The National Trust owned Old Post Office (£3.70) is well worth a visit. You can spend an interesting hour exploring the ancient rooms, artefacts and garden at the rear of this modest (by NT standards) property with curved roofline. A bit like the Arthur links to the village the property was never a post office in the true sense. Only a post receiving room but, its actual history as a home is probably more interesting.

There are plenty of tourist related shops to tempt you to part with your money.

The Arthurian links are everywhere even though; if he ever existed he is unlikely to have visited Tintagel. The creation of the castle being some 500 years too late for the Arthur connection. However, the stuff of fantasy is great to indulge yourself in and provides the village with much of its income. In some respects Tintagel is almost a theme park created way before Disney ever thought of the idea!

In the season the village can be packed out but, a visit in the off season is very rewarding when you can have the place to yourself aside from the locals and a few other seasoned travellers.

Room Tip: One of the rooms (4) has a separate bathroom i.e not ensuite but, just across the corridor. There ar...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights at The King Arthurs Arms Inn last weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a good choice of beers and food and was good value for money. The inn is right in the centre of the village and a few minutes walk from Tintagel Castle. We recommend it!

Room Tip: Not all of the rooms have en-suite so would recommend you check this before booking

Another excellent stay at King Arthur's. Stayed overnight in annex 3, which is enormous and easily large enough for 5/6 people. A tv in each bedroom and it even has a built in radio and light in the shower! Just ignore the redundant kitchen equipment. It's not needed anyway as there is good beer, good food, friendly staff and a filling breakfast in the pub. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Me and my partner visited here last night. We were staying at the Camelot Castle Hotel further down the road! I was nervous about the pub, as I imagined a stereotypical old mans pub! But it couldn't be further from the truth.

The staff were all friendly, and the pub inside was nice and spacious, there were fires that had been lit and a nice atmosphere throughout. The food was nice, and reasonably priced. A lot of it was homemade as well. Which is a definitely bonus in my books!! Would definitely recommend.
If you are looking for somewhere to visit, this should be top of your list.

Please note! Didn't stay here the night, just ate.
