Sad that there is so little of the ancient woodland left. Most enjoyable walk through farmland to reach this quaint little woodland

“Magic is in the air”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I never fail to have a special experience at Wistman's Wood - it's well worth the short walk from the car park for peace and quiet - there's something really magical about that place, large mossy boulders, ancient dwarfed oak trees and the sunlight glistening, creating dappled shadows. Beauty personified.

“walking”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Short level walk, one minute away from two bridges hotel. Just right for a walk before dinner at 7.00. It is possible to walk further into the more with plenty of tors to climb.

“Remote and magical”
Reviewed 17 August 2013

We parked opposite the Two Bridges hotel and walked up the track where we could see the wood in the far distance. As soon as you enter the wood you are surrounded by the amazing moss covered boulders and trees.

“Think magic, think fairies, think Wistman's Wood”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

Wistman's Wood was a wonderful surprise! All that is magic, fairy tales and moss covered wood is Wistman's Wood. So worth the hike and when you're back, head down to the Two Bridges Hotel for a Cream Tea and rest.
