“lovely place to stay”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We stayed here for a weekend in October and had an amazing time. The location is perfect for the town and we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms are spotless and very comfy. There isn't breakfast included here but it is near to lots of amazing place to eat around here.
Great place and can't wait to go back. Very relaxing.

Thank you so much for the great review, your kind words mean a lot to us and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay.

We hope we can persuade you not to wait until October for your next visit so that we can welcome you back here this summer - before the sun goes into hiding again..!

I stayed here with two friends over three nights. We have stayed in Dartmouth many times over the years for sea fishing but not at this accommodation. It offers "Room Only" board which suits our needs as we are often out early to meet our charter boat skipper. The accommodation is exceptionally well maintained, bright and very clean. A parking permit is supplied "gratis" which is a must this town centre location. Breakfast is available close by and there are several first class restaurants within easy walking distance. The owners were very helpful and we hope to return again. Pity the fishing was not up to its usual standard due to wind conditions!

A slightly belated (sorry!) response to your lovely review - thank you very much. We must say it was a pleasure to have you all, just sorry the fishing didn't work out as planned but glad that you managed to get out and about and enjoy your stay anyway.

Thank you so much for your kind words about the Crow's Nest, and also for the lovely surprise of a bunch of sweet williams, which believe it or not are still in flower and look just as good now was they did almost two weeks ago. How did you know that they are one of my favourite flowers...? Very kind.

We hope to see you here again one day - keep on fishin'....

Best regards

One of the best places I've ever stayed in - the owners were helpful but not imposing. Cabin 2 is beautiful and everything has been put together so thoughtfully. It's quite nice not to have breakfast where you're staying and means you can go out and about and try different places in beautiful Dartmouth. The family photos on the landing didn't make us feel like we were imposing at all as one reviewer has said - I think they made it all the more homely.

Thank you so much for this brilliant review, and especially your kind words about the photos of our gorgeous children and grandchildren - that really does mean such a lot to know you weren't 'offended' by them!

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and discovering lovely Dartmouth - we hope to welcome you here again soon.

We stayed one night and had a very comfortable stay. Had everything we needed including hair dryer and iron. Clean rooms and well sized, we stayed in cabin 2. Excellently situated, can highly recommend going to Alf Resco's for Breakfast a couple of doors down. Will definitely return here.

Room Tip: Cabin two was great

An excellent experience with this room. Hosts Alan and Val think about every little detail to make things as comfortable as possible. Spotlessly clean, good bathroom, pleasant decor. Plus right in the centre of town. Not being into big breakfasts, we didn't miss that much either. Overall, top quality.

I stayed here for two nights at the start of October and it had everything I required and more! The room was spotless with wonderful décor. It's in the centre of town so everywhere was rather easy and close to get to. I would certainly recommend The crow's nest for anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Stayed for one night, met by two lovely owners. Alan and Val anything you need to know about the area they are both a mind of helpful information. The room was spotless, quiet and very well equipped, with a very good quiet fridge with FRESH MILK . There were lots of interesting pamphlets on Dartmouth and surrounding areas, with walks and travel information, finally we would like to thank them for a bucket and sponge to clean our car where a seagull had left an unwanted present!! we would certainly return to such a nice place.

Thank you so much for the lovely review - so glad you enjoyed yourselves despite the rather unfortunate Seagull Scenario you had to contend with the minute you arrived... Such a pity you could only stay for one night - let's hope you can come for longer next time and really relax! We look forward to welcoming you again then.
