Very high quality patisserie to die for. Main course salad was freshly prepared and used authentic French ingredients.

Was in Dartmouth today Christmas shopping and looking for somewhere for a light lunch. After having a good look from the outside at the many eateries we decided this looked the best for the atmosphere and menu, and boy was it a good call.Although it wasnt packed it was still the most patronised in the town.We found a lovely table at the rear of the restaurant and decided on a couple of the specials. It was cold today so i went for pumpkin soup with a basket of breads and my wife had the pate.My large dish of soup arrived piping hot, which is a must for me and im not kidding you was one of the best soups ive ever tasted. It was accompanied by a full basket of french crusty bread.Im a big eater but it was enough for me.The wife was equally as complimentary about her pate which was also served with toasted breads and a delicious fresh plentiful salad. The staff were lovely and you could tell they cared about the food being served. This lunch cost us a tenner, well worth it and i will certainly be back soon. They also sell some very reasonably priced continental chutneys and sauces and such like which you wont find in the supermarkets,we took full advantage of purchasing several items and was very glad to give them our custom.Thank you Saveurs you deserve to do well.

We happened upon this place by accident and were very glad we did. The staff were very, very friendly and the food was delicious. The kids shared a pizza that was massive and really well cooked. All of our dishes were fresh, tasty, well seasoned and really well presented. The staff could not do enough to make sure that we had a relaxing meal. Would highly recommend and would certainly return.

Wonderful raspberry delice - their chef certainly knows what he or she is doing. And proper hot chocolate - good flavour and not too sweet.

We visited Saveurs Cafe at the Flavel recently for breakfast, having been there on several previous occasions.
The cafe was about half full when we entered and as usual, menus were on the tables, so we found an empty table and perused the menu to choose what we wanted.
After a few minutes, a member of staff approached and said to us very loudly "You are SUPPOSED to order at the counter!". This was accompanied by a glare and a firmly set expression. Unbelievable!

To my regret, we immediately apologised in that automatic way one does when embarrassed. We even placed an order, although we should have just walked out.
Suffice to say we rechecked the menu and also had a good look around as we left, but there were no signs indicating that orders must be placed at the counter, rather than it being table service as it always was in the past.

That's the last time we give them our custom.
