Stopped here for quick refreshments prior to our ferry/train trip. We were offered our tea in either a polystyrene cup, or if we were 'posh', could have it served in a cup with saucer. Opted for the cup and saucer so were told to go inside to order rather than from the hatch. This we did, and was quickly served a very nice cup of tea and cake outside on the patio with a great view of the river Dart. A little bit busy, sometimes chaotic, but nice staff, a great location and a good place to get an ice cream before getting on the Ferry.

The weather was foul with driving rain and below average temperatures. This was our first time ever in Dartmouth and everywhere seemed full this Sunday lunchtime. Three of us (one in a wheelchair) arrived at the Station and saw they were doing a carvery. There wasn't much room (particularly for a wheelchair), but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The carvery meats had plenty of flavour and the vegetables were cooked just right for us. The desserts were very good. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and, overall, it was a very pleasant surprise.

At 11am today six of us went into the restaurant for tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The member of staff who served us with our order, did so two drinks at a time, some of the drinks were split into the saucers, so we took one of the mugs out of the saucer and placed it on the table, as the waiter returned he barked at us, that we could not take the mug off the saucer and place it on the table, when we pointed out that he had spilt it, he said he would get us another saucer. We were not impressed with the way we were spoken to or in the manner in which it was said.
Before leaving, some of us decided to use the ladies cloakroom, I was quite disgusted to find a unsavoury looking hand towel out for use.

My fiancée and I ate here after visiting Greenway House. Both of us were dying for some fish and chips. We walked inside, went over the menu and ordered. Our meal came to us quickly. I was so happy to see that the peas were separated from the rest of the food [I hate peas with my fish and chips]. We had a huge portion of food. Each table had malt vinegar, salt, brown sauce, ketchup. The tartar sauce, I believe, was homemade. It was delicious!
The restaurant had an excellent view of the River, it was nice to sit and relax watching the boats come and go. I went into the ladies room, upstairs, and was a little uncomfortable that the main door did not close. The two stalls did have full length doors, that locked. But, it still would have been nice to have extra, normal privacy of a restroom.

We visited Dartmouth recently to find everything closed except for this Restaurant, and I was extremely pleased with the place.
The food was good and very tasty, one had Lasagne, another the burger and myself the all day breakfast, served with chips which was a great side dish.
The staff friendly and helpful. Was disappointed that we had missed the Carvery but our fault for getting to Dartmouth so late in the day.
Prices were good, and would recommend it highly when visiting the area.....
