Although you don't risk being captured in Dartmouth perhaps some pubs and restaurants see you as a captive audience. Sadly this was my experience last weekend. Perhaps the early spring sunshine made me feel light headed but when I entered the DA in early afternoon I failed to realise the small number of diners (2) when other pubs I had walked past were busy. I expect pubs to make a living and make a profit on food, fine.
Sorry but a small slice of cheese, bread roll, lettuce and a quarter of a small tomato plus pickle served in an eye bath is not a ploughman's lunch. Not an £8 one anyway. Poor.
