“Little pub in the harbour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

We stumbled upon this little pub whilst we were down at the harbour crabbing with the family.
It is very small inside and we were a party of 7 so we did have to wait a short time for a table to become available.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
After ordering the food arrived promptly. The pizzas are lovely and portions are generous. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
A great find, we will return the next time we visit Dartmouth.

“Inexpensive and good choice”

Nice inexpensive pub with a good range of food. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Be warned this does get busy and it can be tricky to find a table.

“Good food, great location......”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

I grew up in Dartmouth and for many years 1988 onwards, this was a regular haunt every weekend, I can remember drinking Fosters for £1 a pint back in the day. Anyway, the decor hasnt changed since then, but it holds a certain nautical charm for its great location on Bayards Cove. Grab a drink, order a pizza and sit at the side of the river. Nowadays they do alot more than just pizza, but it was always my favourite dish here, fresh, crisp and great to mop up a couple of beers. Its not contemporary or freshly styled, but it is a lovely place to spend an evening

“Real issue with hospitality and customer service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

Have been a frequent visitor to Dartmouth for years but this place has really let the side down. Bar staff rude and ignorant. Totally blanked me and my family as we stood at the front of the bar for over 5 mins waiting to get served. Like we didn't exist. My mum felt so humiliated we left in disgust. Far too focused plying inebriated locals with more booze but rude to tourists. Served scores of people coming in after us. Thanks designer stubble bar men x 2. Won't be coming to see you and whatever chip you have on your shoulder again!
