“Looks are deceiving”
Reviewed 10 November 2012 via mobile

Looking from the outside this place looks as if it can deliver some nice food but i was't impressed. The service was slow, price was very high for what you get on your plate. Not value for money, wont be back. Just under 6 quid for 2 slice of bread and ham and cheese toasted. Rip off.

“Special handmade sandwiches and "Specials"!!”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

Andy makes the interesting soups! Wonderful quality sandwiches - eg Sharpham brie and red onion chutney. Meats, cheese or fish platters, for sharing! Local jams, chutneys, meats and cheeses. Rachel makes the cakes herself, often including gluten free choice[s]. Toasties, Ciabatta etc etc. Barista style coffees and wide choice of teas. Make your quick sandwich something of quality by ordering homemade soup and handmade sandwich! You deserve better quality food! Cappucino and fruit toast [Rachel makes the fruit toast!] in the morning or cream tea in the afternoon [Rachel makes the scones! Local jams] offer better quality food breaks to your shopping and trip to Dartmouth. They do takeaway, including salad boxes for that picnic by the River or in the Gardens - maybe even for that boat trip on The Dart. Upgrade your sandwich standards here!!

“A 'not so' hidden treasure!”
Reviewed 15 August 2012

It could be easy to walk past this place set amid the hustle & bustle of Dartmouth, but once you've found it you can be assured of a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and above all the tastiest food in town. No overly extensive menu, simply a great choice of well prepared food to eat in or take away. The deli stocks an array of excellent products, all with a local 'flavour', so relax and enjoy lunch, coffee & (the best) home made cakes and pick up idea's for creating your own feast from what's on offer!

“Great local cafe / delicatessen!”
Reviewed 30 May 2012 via mobile

Rachel and Andy do a great job of keeping us locals happy with great food, good coffee (very important) and friendly banter. We love these guys. Get in and try some of their fabulous local cheeses, Italian hams, Montazuma's chocolate, the best olive oils in town and if you're looking for a treat for you or a friend, brilliant hampers and wicker picnic boxes are put together to delight!!

“Best coffee in town!”
Reviewed 7 May 2012

Visited this little vintage style deli/café earlier this week and received wonderful service and help with a wide variety of products of sale in the shop. The coffee was perfect and the best I've tasted in all my visits to Dartmouth, will definitely be going back there for some fine food and cheese!
