Great morning out. I had previously sent my nephews & nice on this trip and wanted to try it myself. We were so lucky with everything - blue skies, bird close ups and half a dozen curious seals. Our guide, Elizabeth, was full of local knowledge which made the trip even more fun. Hope to do it again!

Fantastic experience around Dartmouth with some seal-watching to boot! Really well-run with calm confident guides who also cooked a deliciously mean bbq! Would thoroughly recommend.

If you have time on your Holiday you must include this activity with your family.
My Grandchildren and family really enjoyed our trip on the Dart and out to sea.
We even Kayaked with the Seals!
Great induction and Safety Training from the instructor before heading off,we all felt very safe in his company.
Cannot wait to experience this again..

A great weekend on the river Dart learning how to Kayak. Good to learn better techniques in preparation for future projects

The instructor Drew was great instructor who was very good at breaking down training into bite sized chunks.

I went as part of a group of 6 on a Saturday afternoon. We could have taken single kayaks but, mostly being inexperienced, we took double ones - this was also more of a laugh given paddling / steering communications! There was a bit of faffing around at the beginning (mostly our fault as we were late) but James admirably managed us into the gear / kayaks and out onto the river. We kayaked out through the moored boats in the river to the estuary mouth (lots of riverside property appreciation along the way), where our guide weighed up the weather conditions and gave us options of where to go. Unanimous vote for the chance of seeing seals - we did, lots of them, basking in the sun and swimming around the kayaks. Also lots of sea birds including cormorants and black-backed gulls. Once we left the mouth of the Dart we didn't see any sign of civilisation on land, so it really was just us and nature. James was a total star and took some nice photos for us (most of our phones was tucked away in dry bags). Tops tips? Parked at the Park & Ride which gave me time to look around in Dartmouth before the trip and no worries about time constraints (make sure you have £5 in change). Plaster on suncream/ hat / sunglasses and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet. There are public loos near the meet up point. Last thing: you need to be able to paddle for a good 3 hours so I would say reasonably fit to enjoy it properly.
