“Brown Crab Sandwich”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

We came across this charming Pub and Restaurant purely by chance. The Landlady was extremely helpful, friendly, polite and informative. The Brown Crab Sandwiches, with her recommendation of Wine, were simply excellent. When we commented on their quality she told us that her Son, the Chef, had spent some formative time at the 101 Restaurant famed for it's Fish Dishes. No surprise there then! We'll be back.

“Welcoming Inn”
Reviewed 1 May 2014 via mobile

We only dropped in for a cider and we were warmly welcomed. The dog was provided with a snack and the cider was local and at a good price. In my view it's a working blokes local and a it delivers good beer with a smile, it's not posh, but that what makes a good pub and this one did seem to be a good pub.

“Good Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

This is another pub in Dartmouth that looks a a little weather beaten inside and out. The Sunday Roast was however very good. Reasonable portions, friendly land lady and good value for money. Reasonable range of beer as well. All in all well worth a look.

“Go in through the door....”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

The pub was excellent and the landlady welcomed us with the most positive smile and excitement. We only had a drink but it was a great atmosphere. The pub lacked kerb appeal so you have to go in the door to appreciate it

“Beautiful traditional food”
Reviewed 17 January 2014 via mobile

I ate here on my last day of my holiday in Dartmouth and definitely made the right choice! We were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who was very welcoming. The food was absolutely gorgeous- a proper English meal! I had a traditional ham, eggs and chips- the beautifully cured ham went down a treat with the gorgeous fat fluffy chips with an egg to too it off nicely! Warm, friendly atmosphere with amazing food! What an outstanding restaurant and I will definitely be back soon! My favourite place to eat in Dartmouth by far!!!!!
