Beautiful small park.Typical victorian, bandstand, small fishpond, massive monkey puzzle tree and various exotic plants from the world over. Spring, summer and autumn, awash with colour and in the winter, kept immaculate and tidy. The guys from the council do a brilliant job of caring for this gem of a park the whole year round. One drawback....watch out for the seagulls and DON'T feed them.

On our latest visit to Dartmouth the weather was particularly good and gave us plenty of opportunity to sit and relax in these well maintained and colourful gardens. Almost despite the public the displays are well tended colourful and interesting. A great place to sit and relax and enjoy the sunshine whilst listening to the free entertainment provided from the bandstand. The river and town are only a short walk away as is the largest car park in the town(very busy).A great feature and a credit to the ground staff and the town.

Lovely to have these pretty gardens with lots of seats right by the river. Nice to be able to sit and rest for a while.

Dartmouth spend alot of time and money on these delightful gardens - always a riot of colour.
The Dartmouth flower in bloom team need to be recognised for their hard work.
Latest masterpiece is a training ship made of plants.

What excellent , well designed and well looked after these gardens are. During our holiday we always made a point of walking through or sitting for a while in these lovely gardens at least twice a day. What a pleasure to the senses if you were blind as the scent from the flowers and herbs was a real pleasure.
Everywhere was kept clean , even the loos and Dartmouth must have real pride in these gardens.
