Thanks for a very comfortable stay at The Boutique B and B, our room was lovely, light airy and beautifully furnished. The deep bath and lashings of hot water were very welcome, and all our needs were met very satisfactorily.
We wish Neil and co all the best with this venture and will recommend to our friends,
Best Wishes
Louise and Mike Jackson

I wasn't too sure what a "Boutique" B and B would be like, but I didn't expect what this B and B gave.
Sure, it was very, very clean but its plain white and grey décor and furniture was very clinical and the whole was minimalist in the extreme. No signage outside to identify the main entrance from the car park, no guest information, a guest lounge area that would be at home in a doctor's surgery, no books, no magazines.
The bedroom was adequately sized and as advertised had good views over Dartmouth and the surrounding hills. But as in the rest of the B and B no colour, just blandness.
The bathroom was of a good size but was unheated and the sink was very small with a glass shelf over which stopped you bending over it. It was difficult to fill the electric kettle provided from the tap because of the size of the sink.
None of the above affected our stay so don't be too put off, but just be aware that it is different, which of course is what the Proprietors want, just not to my taste.

Breakfast was average but on our first day there was a bit confusing with different people taking our order and then not fulfilling it. The next days were fine. I'm not sure old dining tables tables could be described as "boutique" certainly not for me.
(A note for Neil, change the breakfast room to the lounge and have breakfasts in the existing lounge area. Stunning views then from the lounge might encourage people to sit in that area, maybe with a few books and local information provided).
The car parking provided was good and the accommodation is about a ten minute walk downhill into Dartmouth and probably fifteen to twenty minutes return.
The host, Neil was very friendly and informative and I am sure given time will continue to improve the experience of stopping at The Dartmouth Boutique B and B.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the rear of the property as those have the better views.

I stayed at the Dartmouth Boutique B & B last week - it was such a lovely place to stay and certainly lived up to the title of a boutique B & B. The owners were lovely - really accomodating and couldn't do enough to help (whether it was a late check in, or advice and tips on where to go in the area). The decor was perfect and really stylish, the bedroom was great and lovely en suite too. I loved all of the extra little touches such as breakfast made to order (which was yummy) and the delicious fresh coffee served in vintage tea cups and saucers. Loved the view from the breakfast room too - beautiful to take in the views of Dartmouth in the morning.

I loved the place and definitely want to go back!

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Dartmouth for a wedding.
The B & B is immaculate with lovely views of the surrounding area. We were made to feel very welcome by Neil & Neville and our room had all the comforts we needed.
Breakfast was beautifully cooked and the dining room had panoramic views.
We would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

We had a fabulous 2 day break in this boutique B&B with lovely views from our room and the breakfast table. Great location, with parking and only a 10 minute stroll into the centre. The walk back up the hill allows you to burn off the calories from all the delicious food! The host, Neil was charming and really helpful. Would stay again.

We recently stayed at this B&B over the Easter period. Its in a really great spot, not far to stroll down in to the center of Dartmouth. The rooms are spotless and well appointed - exactly what you would expect from a boutique style hotel. Neil & Neville are on hand if you have any problems at all - and of course the all important breakfast is nothing short of delicious! Its is really great value for money too! Well worth every penny and we will most certainly be back to stay again next year!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 6 which had lovely views out to the River Dart

I stayed in the B&B whilst attending a wedding in the area. Neil and the rest of his staff are so welcoming and friendly, doing everything they can to make the stay enjoyable.
The rooms are superbly decorated, with spotless and modern ensuites with an amazing view of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast is fantastic using local produce and served in a room with an amazing view of the town and river and a great choice of options.
The only downside is the steepness of the hill to the town itself! However this is a common feature of the town, the walk takes ten minutes along quiet country streets and a taxi back simply costs £2ish if you've sampled the local beer a little too much!! Having experienced a range of B&B's in the town this is by far my favourite and my first recommendation to anyone visiting the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Dart if possible, sunset/sunrise is beautiful.
