Had a 2 night stay in the 'spring' this year and the welcome by the proprietor was much warmer than the weather - the booking, as well as the arrival, was very efficient and helpful - a car parking pass provided fee of charge.
I couldn't decide if this was a winebar/bistro with rooms or a small hotel with bar and bistro. But its not a boutique hotel and doesn't pretend to be.
The proprietors are clearly very passionate about their role and are very attentive ensuring that guests are well looked after - that has clearly been passed to the hardworking staff.
If you book dinner they knock £20 off the room rate. If you eat on a Friday, which is Tapas night, the downstairs bar is full of locals enjoying the quite excellent free Tapas - I hope they spend enough at the bar to pay for the food!
Dinner was 'different' with a distict Spanish leaning - the menu is described as being casual, and so it is; but here is some help for future visitors - 'Casual Eats' are mainly starters; 'Comfort Foods and Specials' are mains; 'Bits and pieces' are mainly sides. If you like smoked fish/meat/cheeses this is the place for you. The Chocolate Fondant is to die for.More
