Having been a regular visitor this year, my wife and I were surprised to find this week that the Angel had lost its best asset. Becky at the front of house was most welcoming and a consistently professional employee we have had the pleasure to encounter. Well presented good quality food was always complimented by Beckys warm, friendly and welcoming manner. We were disappointed that our enquiry as to where she was now working was ignored. Perhaps it is time for us to move on from the Angel - Becky, where are you ?

Popped into Dartmouth for lunch yesterday and was excited to see the Angle had space, heard it was good, knew it had a good background although not sure who currently owns it. Had 2 open sandwiches, salmon was lovely and a lot of it, however the salad leaves were old and browning!! Service left something g to be desired. Good food but could easily be superb!

We ate here at the beginning if our holiday. The food wasn't bad but the service was very odd. The waiter who took our order didn't seem to know what was on the menu and then it became quite clumsy with waiters appearing to try and help each other but getting in each other's way.
We had planned to revisit just to see if it was new staff getting used to the job but the food whilst good wasn't inspiring enough.

We had lunch here prior to taking a sail on the paddle steamer. We were seated promptly but like other reviewers I had to ask for someone to take our order and the expression on the ladies face was not friendly when I did. The food came fairly quickly and was nice but not anything exceptional. I think that when you take over a restaurant from a famous chef you have a lot to live up to but sadly they don't. Not sure if I would go back as there are other places to try.
