Food plain and overpriced. Being a Polish restaurant I expected something more interesting but was disappointed also lacking atmosphere.

Thank you very much for taking time to give your review. We do our very best to provide a great evening for our guests. Please just tell us when you are there if you are not happy with anything and we will rectify this straight away.

All of our regular customers come to us because they love our good quality food and cosy atmosphere. We provide a very personal service and we get a lot of repeat business. Our prices are very reasonable and comparable to other restaurants in the area. You will find in Dartmouth we are in the middle range for meal prices.

Anzac is a small restaurant with a warm and friendly welcome. It is an old building with lots of character. We have live music we also cater for private parties with up to 35 people. The response we get is that the food was delicious and they had a great time.

We visited in early August. Great little restaurant with great service. The food is fresh, nicely presented and very good. Yes, there is a Polish theme in the menu names but that is about it.
The Małże (Local mussels and prawns in creamy wine sauce served with crusty bread) was very good. The Ryba (Pan roasted red mullet on a bed of seafood Tagliatelle topped with crispy bacon) was even better. Nice to see a slightly different draught beer (Leffe) being available. Two course evening dinner with a couple of drinks each (under £30 a head) I would recommend the Anzac and would visit again.

By far one of the best restaurants in Dartmouth, book early. Well worth a visit, really homely and down to earth. Run my a lovely couple who are extremely welcoming, We went two years ago when they first opened, we were not at all disappointed on our second visit this summer.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and we had an absolutely lovely evening. The atmosphere was intimate and the addition of a musician made the night extra special. We ordered the fig and Gorgonzola salad (I thought this was a little unimpressive for the price), the chicken liver pate (very tasty and not too much pate). For the mains we had the Sea Bass Tagliatelle which was very creamy and flavourful and a very generous size; and the halloumi with gypsy potato and vegetable stew was very pleasant. We shared a dessert of summer fruit crumble with ice cream which was light and not too sweet.
The service was very friendly and attentive- I would definitely return (especially on a Saturday night when the musician is there).

We were staying in the Anzac Bistro B&B (see separate review) and decided to give the restaurant a go one night. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food which was extremely well presented and tasted even better. Simon & Aga are great hosts and the restaurant was busy so there was a good atmosphere. Service was very good. The menu has a Polish theme and I will definitely be returning to try out the rest of the menu on our next trip to Dartmouth.
