We arrived to an enthusiastic welcome and showed to our room which overlooked the valley, WHAT A VIEW! The doors opened up onto a raised patio then the lawn which had garden furniture that we could sit out on, which we did with a nice cup of tea. Massive garden with colourful chickens wandering around.
The room was very spacious with a king sized bed, unusual wardrobe (wait until you see it) beautiful en-suite shower room, digital television and tea/coffee making things. I particularly loved the tea set......
Shirley and Paul really looked after us making sure we had everything we needed. They recommended a pub in the next Village for dinner, the Three Tuns, which we duly tried and loved. Ron liked the Exe Valley Bitter from Silverton itself plus the variety on the omnivore menu me I stuck to the veggie menu (superb).
Breakfast BIG English for Ron, BIG Veggie for me with toast tea for me coffee for Ron and lots of preserves. Paul did warn Ron that his cooked breakfast was enough but he insisted on cereal first and nearly didn't make it to the end.
We'll definitely be back for a longer stay!
