Sally and Tony were so hospitable. Sally greated us at the gate with a welcoming smile. The first thing she did was offer us tea or coffee. Then we were joined by Tony who was also friendly and instantly my husband and I warmed to the couple. They showed us to our room, which was immculate and very spacious. My husband and I took a couple of hours looking round the village and visited the 'Diggers Rest', which is a pub Sally and Tony used to own. In the morning we were cooked a delicious full English Breakfast and once again felt fully at ease. There was no rush for us to leave. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone it was a first class, homely welcoming place and we will definitely be visiting again.

My wife and I stayed at Heathfield Park for two nights at the end of July 2010 while visting family.
We found Sally and Tony's hopitality first class.... What more to be offered a nice cup of tea/coffee on arrival (after 4 hrs journey) and unwind.....great!
Sally showed us our room, how everything works etc, explained the area, asked what time we wanted breakfast. Anything we needed to know or wanted we just had to ask.... made us feel very at home.

The house was lovely. You have your own access via a separate secure front door separate from the main house. Plenty of light at night when approaching and accessing the house (parking no problem) .

Ideal countryside location for Exmouth (inc Airport), Exeter, Sidmouth and others.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. Plenty of Tea, Coffee etc made available in the room. Fresh water placed in room every evening.
Lovely bathroom, clean towels each day, (nice hot shower).
Wi-Fi access to Net in room.

The gardens are superb, fantastic views and so calming. It was so nice to sit out on the patio and relax in the peaceful surroundings. Watching the birds feeding and admiring the views with a nice cup of tea offered by Sally.

Full English breakfast is freshly cooked (great food and portions) which set us up for the day, also cerials, juice, tea coffee, toast etc. We had our breakfast whilst looking out of the french doors onto the gardens and country-side, taking in the good weather.
It was good to chat with Sally and Tony, they know the area well as they ran a local pub for many years (Diggers Rest).

In summary:
We enjoyed our stay. We managed to visit the beaches, surrounding countryside and villages. We had a great time.
Good service & hospitality, accomodation and food, combined with an ideal location.... We will be returning on regular basis.

I stayed here for 2 nights as my son had an Open Day appointment at Exeter Uni.I booked over the phone with Sally who is very friendly. We arrived in the dark and she had left all the outside lights on so that we could find the house. It is a beautiful ex-farm house with converted barn.It has beautiful gardens all round with lots of hanging baskets of flowersSally and Tony used to own and run the nearby country pub Diggers Rest. The whole place is spotlessly clean, warm and attractive. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms look brand new.Sally cooked us an amazing breakfast,as much as we could eat.The room had coffee/tea making facilities. The house is very convenient for the park and ride to the Uni,about 7 miles from the centre of Exeter and in a beautiful countryside area.I would go back anytime.
