“Last minute idea to visit was well worth it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Me and my husband decided whilst in the area to visit the The Drew Arms all the staff was very helpful and the cheese and ham platters we ordered was beautiful very tasty and all the food that was sent out to other tables look superb. I would highly recommend a visit maybe before or after a visit to Castle Drogo the biggest restoration project the national trust has ever done.

“The Drewe Arms is back and on top form”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

Stayed in Drewsteignton village for a weeks holiday and ended up dining at the Drewe Arms on 4 evenings. Genuine home cooked food of a high standard and at a fair price. With four people in my group we must have tried most of the menu and without exception every meal was excellent. Also enjoyed the good range of beers on offer and the buzzing atmosphere with locals and visitors enjoying the friendly and efficient service. Well worth a visit to experience a really traditional village pub at its best.

We had a lovely meal mid afternoon here. The steak was lovely, a nice cheese and ham platter and excellent range of drink. A really homely setting and good service. A real pleasure.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

On a wet windy April showers night visited impromptu to find a bustling pub with locals drinking and dining - chose Whitebait £5.99, lovely and Devon Delight Dartmoor Trio consisting of black pudding, bacon and belly pork plus Quails egg £7.50, stunning, truly stunning!!! Mains Steak and Stilton Pie, homemade to be sure and FRESH sole for just £13.00!!! Can NOT recommend this place enough and that comes from a fellow local publican - THANK YOU.

“Absolutely Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Fantastic quirky old pub that has been brought back from closure and is now in the hands of very competent and attentive owners. The food was all truly delicious and brilliantly prepared, and service was really quick, even with a packed Easter Saturday night restaurant. The owner welcomed us at the door and made sure that everything was perfect for us, even going out to check details of what the guest beers were and the specials before taking our orders. We were treated like the most important guests at all times, but so were every other table. We could not fault any aspect of this pub or it's food and cannot wait to go back there next time we are in the area. Too many old country pubs in small villages are disappearing, and with them a great british heritage. This one deserves to be preserved for all to enjoy, and with service like this it certainly should do.
