We enjoyed looking around the house. House not as extensive as some properties but with large grounds. National Trust policy of trying to allow visitors to touch comes over as slightly confused. Yes you can play the grand piano but can't touch any of the large collection of books, for example. Compare this with Avebury (Wiltshire) where they encourage participation much more (even if the four poster bed the kids are allowed to bounce on is a reproduction). Unfortunately we suspect that some of the paths on the leaflet have changed recently as have some of the numbered points of interest so this has lost them one mark. Hopefully they will update the plans soon.
The restaurant was fine and I'll write a review of this if I can find the Killerton House Restaurant page.
