“Couldn't fault it!”

Stayed overnight with my 2 teenage sons before a uni open day. Very pleasantly surprised. Plenty of room for us all in a family room and so clean! Helpful staff. Breakfast at £4.99 (and evening meal but didn't try this) available in the bar/grill off reception. Noise from the motorway with window open but unavoidable when you are next to the M5. Less than 5 minutes to the park and ride for the Open Day. Perfect. Overall, a successful trip. (Remember to take a hairdryer as not provided)

A decent price in a location suited to us to explore the area. It had been done up with the new beds etc which was very nice. Only downside, you can only open the window a crack and we were way too hot. The room was stuffy and we just wanted some fresh air.

I booked this hotel for it's location. We were down in Devon for the Food Festival at River Cottage HQ. The staff were very friendly and informed. The rooms are as you would expect from Travelodge. Clean and functional. the actual size of the room was very large. The shower was very powerful and the bathroom spotless. We took advantage of the wifi and found it to be very quick and easy to log in to and register with. For us the hotel was a base to explore Exeter and the surrounding areas. Would I book again. Yes without question. I love Travelodge. i would rather save on a hotel and use the spare cash for treats. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't use it so cannot comment on that other than to say it was busy in the evenings. Not sure about any other time as we were out..... All in all we had a great stay and are really impressed with this part of the South West.

I chose this Travelodge because it was well situated to break a long drive to Cornwall. The staff were helpful and efficient, the room spacious, attractively refurbished and impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had both a bath and a shower. We were given a choice of rooms upstairs or down, so chose upstairs (no-one walking about above). It is probably the best Travelodge I have stayed in and my stay was very comfortable and pleasant. It was extremely good value at £38 for the Saver rate, and I would heartily recommend it.

So relieved this travelodge had opening windows and fresh air (have had horrendous time in an inner city one with inadequate aircon and sealed windows where I had to have showers all night to keep cool!)
Strong hot shower.
View of trees grass and rabbits.
Bliss!

Rooms now a lot nicer after the refurbishment especially the bed which I found very comfortable. Pity that they didn't freshen up the corridors at the same time as they are still a bit worn. Food at the attached bar and grill not bad at all and reasonably priced.
