“The weekend that turned into a parking fine nightmare!”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Having booked our weekend at Travelodge Exeter to see my son for a weekend stay the whole thing became a shames this morning four days later.

0n arrival as per norm we booked in with the reg no of the vehicle and today we get a £100.00 parking fine for having stayed in the car park for over two hours.

Bearing in mind we were actually there for two days with a booking reference etc we are less than pleased.

We had to call the hotel, then call CP Plus the ones who act for Moto Exeter to try and sort this whole shames out!

It is still pending their reply and we are less than happy having wasted two hours so far trying to address the whole situation.

Travelodge Exeter for god sakes get your act together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We traveled down the motorway through torrential rain thunder and lightning so it was a relief to arrive at the hotel. As it is on a Services site the last bit of the journey is slightly confusing. Visited the services for a coffee before checking in at 3. Two rooms at £118 so not that cheap but probably OK for the area and demand- hotel full.Registered the car on their computer to ensure free parking. Rooms a good size and nicely furnished. Fan in room to cope with hot conditions and windows open ready. TV tea/coffee, compact bathroom. Bed large and comfy- all in all very nice. Walked to nearby Park and Ride to catch bus into Exeter for a look round. Interesting city that I have not visited for years. Will return. Back to the hotel to eat at the Bar and Grill next to the Travelodge. Not particularly cheap but handy. We then set off on a beautiful evening to walk to Clyst St Mary just 20 minutes away. We were down for a party there so no worries about drinking and driving or taxis.Breakfast next morning at the Bar and Grill perfectly fine.
Would certainly use again if needs be

A simple hotel near the motor way, which is very good for a late arrival and early departure when travelling by car. Food is available on site.

The roundabouts and signs make the last few hundred meters a bit challenging.

Not a place to stay for long because it is in the motorway service area

stayed here two nights this week, and bought the "breakfast" through logitravel uk.
£5 for a tiny muffin, long life juice and a cereal bar and what could only be described as the tiniest bowl of cereal in the history of mankind. Absolute ripoff. Site booking was misleading i was led to believe it was a full english. Saying that rooms are clean , staff courteous, but keep the windows closed, constant drone of traffic and aircraft from Exeter airport makes nights very noisy.
wont stay there again because of that.

Room Tip: stay away from any room starting 13

Me and my boyfriend were in Travelodge last week. I couldn't ask more than this room.
Really the cleanest I have ever been. Very big. Very comfortable bed.
We found a very special offer for this room. It was the cheapest of my trip and the best one (47 € for two persons with breakfast!). Also the bathroom was very big.
The packed breakfast was ok.
Is just at the exit of the motorway so, if you have a car, it's perfect.
The only exception, internet is free only for 30 min, but for us it was enough.
I'm really enthusiastic of this location.
